Vitamins are fine if you actually have a deficiency, but I guess if you just lack vitamin B or C—like having cracked lip corners—or just need magnesium for cramps, then someone with a single issue shouldn't be popping everything. They should just target what's missing. melloworca6, you probably need them, since 😁 If your body already has enough, they won't even absorb; they'll just pass right through you, and if you overdo the absorption, well, that's just more problems. 🙄

Personally, I think those overpriced supplements loaded with massive doses of vitamins and minerals are meant for people facing serious medical crises—people who physically can't get enough nutrients through food alone. You're talking about situations like someone undergoing chemotherapy, where nausea and vomiting make eating impossible, yet the body desperately needs fuel to fight cancer.

But healthy people? They shouldn't be popping any vitamins at all, let alone these high-potency pills. Even though you only absorb a tiny fraction—maybe 5-10%—of what's in a tablet, you can't ignore the fact that we get most of our nutrition from real food. Taking these kinds of pills could actually end up wrecking your health.

It’s easy to worry about water-soluble vitamins because your body just flushes the excess out through your urine. The real danger lies with fat-soluble vitamins. If you take too much of those, your body can't just get rid of them; they build up inside you.
