It’s been about eight months since they lost their son, Danny, and I guess Becca and Howie Corbett are just trying to find a way to move forward. They're starting to build these really unexpected platonic connections... like, Becca actually gets close to the teenage driver who was responsible for the accident, and Howie finds comfort with a woman from his grief support group. It's a lot to process, I suppose.

Cast:
Nicole Kidman as Becca Corbett
Aaron Eckhart as Howie Corbett
Dianne Wiest as Nat
Tammy Blanchard as Izzy
Miles Teller as Jason
Sandra Oh as Gabby
Patricia Kalember as Peg
Mike Doyle as Craig
Jon Tenney as Rick
Giancarlo Esposito as Auggie

The movie is honestly 👍 People are already whispering about how Kidmanica might snag an Oscar nomination 😁

Solid movie, pretty heavy drama. Nicole Kidman is absolutely killing it again after a long stretch; I’m really hoping for an Oscar nomination 🙂 honestly, the entire cast is more than impressive

I found the movie to be quite poor—just this dull, heavy sense of hopelessness from start to finish with absolutely no momentum or payoff. Nicole Kidman is decent enough (though if she’d gone a bit easier on the Botox, she might have actually been able to show some emotion), but even so, there are a few flashes of brilliance that justify her Golden Globe nod. Hopefully, the audience finds a way to love her again so she stops being branded as box office poison. 😁
