Or just grab a used one with some kind of warranty left to save a decent chunk of change.

So, if I go with that one that has the 6GB GTX 1060, I probably won't need a better power supply, right? I guess... is it actually worth spending more on that card? Is it really that much better than the RX 570 4 that was $567 suggested?

I wouldn't use it at all. This R9 270 X card that died (and yeah, he's pretty sure it's totally fried now) isn't even four years old and it's already toast.

You don't need a better power supply for a GTX 1060.

The RX 580 is actually a slightly better pick, plus it's cheaper (though that really depends on what you're playing).

There's also a 4GB version that's way more budget-friendly.

But yeah, with the GTX 1060, you won't have to sweat your PSU nearly as much.

Just whatever you do, stay away from the GTX 1060 3GB. It’s a total waste compared to an RX 570 4GB.

The guy is paying in installments, so even if the RX 580 is technically "cheaper," it ends up costing him about the same anyway.😛

Thanks for the help, guys, as always. I guess I'll just grab whichever one ends up being a better deal since they both seem pretty close in performance.

Get this one; you won't even need to upgrade your power supply.

Check out this card over at Best Buy $83—it's actually cheaper..... https://www.bestbuy.com/site/graphics-cards/
