Lately, here in America—especially around Washington, D.C.—there’s been this viral bug going around. It’s nothing life-threatening, just one of those annoying things, but I wanted to start this thread to help anyone who might be dealing with a virus or some other minor infection right now.

1. Just rest up. Honestly, try not to head into the office or go to class while you're feeling under the weather; you wouldn't want to pass that nasty little thing along to your coworkers or friends.

2. Keep yourself hydrated. Drinking plenty of fluids is key, and I always find a nice, hot cup of tea works wonders.

3. You can pick up some over-the-counter cough drops to soothe your throat. And if you start feeling that nagging headache or some aches in your joints and bones, taking a standard dose of aspirin should help.

4. Just hang in there for about 2 to 6 days, and you'll likely feel back to your old self before you know it!!!

I really hope this little guide helps you out and that you start feeling better soon 🙂 . Just a quick reminder, though—don't overdo it with the medications, and if things actually start getting worse, definitely check in with your doctor!

Edit: sorry about the typo in the title 😢

These instructions arrived a little too late for me... everything got complicated and I ended up having to head to the ER.
