As the title suggests:

Who do you even complain to when a moderator starts abusing their power—jumping into the middle of a debate they’re supposed to be overseeing, then selectively handing out penalties to anyone who dares disagree with their personal take? It’s basically driving the conversation toward authoritarianism through sheer bias.

Or is this just business as usual on this forum?

Thanks in advance for the input.

I’d suggest checking out this subforum if you're dealing with stuff like this.

Thanks.

My question is—who is actually legally liable here?

But I want to know who is legally liable here.

Politico, if that's what you're implying...

Who do you even complain to when a moderator oversteps—you know, when they jump right into the debate they’re supposed to be overseeing, then start selectively handing out penalties to anyone who dares disagree with their personal take? It feels like they're tilting the scales of the conversation in a way that's almost... well, authoritarian.

Is this just the standard operating procedure on this forum?

Thanks in advance for the insight.

Yeah, that's pretty much par for the course here. When things go sideways, most sane people would head straight to the owner—someone who actually values their guests, especially the ones bringing in fresh blood. If there's a real boss in charge, they shouldn't be turning a deaf ear to complaints. As for unpaid mods and admins, I've held the same view for years—just look around. It's like if your neighbor hasn't moved from their doorstep in days and probably needs a glass of water. Wouldn't it be the decent, Christian thing to knock and wait for an answer?
Well, that's how it goes—they could go days without checking in, thinking, "God, it's quiet, everything's fine." (Does evil seem smaller just because we think old-school fascism is dead? It's a bit deceptive, isn't it? Evil tends to wake up right when you need it least. What do you call this? Aesthetic fascism? Or maybe just "creative" tyranny?
Does this mindset have a specific label? Or is it just the byproduct of chaotic internet forums? Cheers—and no, the smirk at the end wasn't intentional.

Look, this is the subforum for technical support on the forum. Is reading a subforum header really that difficult?

All grievances or complaints regarding moderator conduct belong in the Feedback and Suggestions subforum. That area is managed by senior moderators and administrators—the people actually responsible for overseeing the staff. There is already a link to that specific section in the very first reply to this thread.

Closing this now. If anyone wants to complain about a moderator, go to the designated subforum for it.
