I’m fully expecting another tedious race, just like we always see at the United States Grand Prix.

Right now, the current US forecast shows Friday and Saturday being partly cloudy—but no rain in sight, and honestly, it won't be too hot for this time of year—for both days.

Lately, the races have been pretty much deathly boring to watch on TV, so I’ve been playing around with some track redesign ideas to encourage more overtaking. I wonder if any of this would actually work? 😁



It's a shame we can't actually make it happen. 😢

I guess the first turn isn't anything crazy, but if they slow down that last corner, maybe there's a better shot since both cars might struggle to find equal traction 😉

There wouldn't have been any room to overtake... I guess the only upside to your way of doing things is that you stretched out the straightaway, which might actually satisfy someone who's always complaining about the current track layout.

Both cars have pretty much identical acceleration. In that final turn, they’d practically be coming to a standstill before pinning it toward the finish line, which honestly makes the situation even more intense than it already was. A longer straightaway might help a tiny bit, but probably not enough to change the outcome.

If you really wanted to make an impact, you should have tightened up that first turn instead. At the end of the day, you can always tell who the real drivers are when it comes to heavy braking, right? 😉

Here is the updated forecast:

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday should all be partly cloudy with highs around 70 degrees—not a single drop of rain in sight, actually... we might not see any precipitation until Monday.

Too bad we can't actually pull that off 😢

They should just scrap those turns from 10 to 15 and link the straight directly to the final corner... you'd end up with this massive flatout stretch followed by heavy braking...

With this latest adjustment, they’ve done nothing but absolutely wreck the track layout further.
