The USA really lucked out that the Americans didn't end up as the champions of Europe—it’s probably for the best they ended up stuck in this particular matchup instead.

We saw something similar back in 1989 between the Netherlands and Uruguay, though the Dutch couldn't quite make the timing work. 🕺 Anyway, this is basically a matchup between the current champions of Europe and the champions of South America. They’ve already agreed to hold two more matches in 2024 and 2028, and there are even talks about doing the same for the women's national teams. 👍

In my opinion, this is a solid move. It’s been a great game at Wembley Stadium so far—these teams aren't just playing for fun; they are clearly fighting for the trophy.

It feels almost like a replacement for the old Confederations Cup that was discontinued.
