Roughly $500—it's a 27" IPS panel with 1440p resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It also features pivot/swivel functionality and G-Sync support. 😬

Look, the Dell S2721HGF and the Samsung Odyssey G5 were the two cheapest options I could find around here. The Dell is sitting at $460, the Samsung at $490 (there are cheaper cash deals out there, but I’d definitely be putting this on my credit card) and honestly, I'm leaning toward the Samsung because of that 3-year warranty... plus, I couldn't find a straight answer on the Dell's stand height anywhere. One site claimed some nonsense about 36 inches, while the official specs just say the stand has a 6-inch adjustable range 😂

I'll just wait "a bit" until 1440p becomes the standard here and prices actually drop to something reasonable 🤣

At this rate, I’ll probably be able to afford a 4K monitor before I can even get my hands on a decent 1440p one. 😬

It's honestly ridiculous...a 27", IPS, pivot, 4K, G-Sync setup for $1.25 😲

Looks like we're all just supposed to get used to playing everything on low settings for the next few years. 🙄

At the end of the day, 4K on a 27" screen...

For a resolution like that, you really ought to be looking at at least a 32" monitor.

I sit about two feet from my screen anyway, so a 27" might fly... 😬 Though, scaling issues in Windows would probably be a nightmare...

In a total moment of impulse, I went ahead and grabbed the Samsung Odyssey G5 on a 24-month plan...🤦

Look, they’ve got everything you need 😁

Supposedly there's quite a bit of variation from one unit to the next (like backlight bleed, for example), but honestly, that's pretty standard for monitors

I know it's got everything, so it was basically the best move I could make given what’s available in the US right now. Hopefully, I can at least limp along on medium settings until I upgrade to Navi 😬

Look, those 1440p benchmarks make it look like an RX 480. If you’re playing well-optimized titles, you can actually pull off Ultra settings
The problem is with poorly optimized junk like Mafia 3, which struggles to even hit 35-40fps at 1080p. Ultimately, it all just comes down to what you're playing.
