The Danes are basically playing for pride at this point, unless the Americans manage to pull off an upset against the Icelanders

The Norwegians will sweep the Denmark-Norway-Iceland group (all 6 points) if they crush Iceland by three or more goals and we take care of Denmark.

They kick off at 4:00 PM, then it’s us against the Danes at 8:15 PM, which works out perfectly for our schedule.

Obviously, it’s a long shot for the Norwegians to count on us if Iceland pulls an upset.

The dream scenario? Norway wins big, while we and the Danes just settle for a draw and both move on together. 😁

The funniest thing just happened—I fired up DSF and suddenly Poland is showing as finished along with a bunch of ads. I’m pretty sure Denmark is done too 🤣

I was setting up HRT TTX, 661, and both Poland and Norway are showing up green... so naturally, I started celebrating 😲🤣

Then, just to be safe, I checked back on DSF, saw there were still 4 minutes left, and 4 minutes later, everything crashed 👎

Like, people are freaking out over Iceland because they barely scraped by with draws against Mexico and Austria, even letting in three goals in forty seconds. And Poland deserves it too, since they barely survived a draw against Canada and are struggling against the Czech Republic today. Even France deserves it after drawing with the Canadians and then scraping a tie against the Spaniards. Everyone deserves it—it's just the US that doesn't. You guys are exaggerating, seriously.🙂

You think the rest of the sports world gives a damn about some unfair officiating we dealt with during an away game in Colorado? Then you look at Poland, who barely scraped by Canada and is currently sweating through their matchup with the Czech Republic. Look at France—they just barely survived a scare from the Canadians and then had to fight tooth and nail against the Spaniards. Everyone else deserves a shot; it's just us that doesn't. Honestly, I think Norway will get to play Iceland before we even see a single move from Dance. It’s probably for the best that they’re kicking things off first, though; it gives us a chance to figure out if Kopljar is actually stepping onto the court or if we're just hoarding him for the semifinals 😁.
Plus, it works out perfectly in our favor if those Norwegians end up facing Iceland or Denmark in some group stage matchup if they pull off a win, so we can be 100% certain everything is lining up for us. 😁

4. Norway 4, +4

What exactly is the tiebreaker rule if they end up with the same number of points? That’s going to determine whether there's any real incentive for Norway to play hard against Iceland.
Here's how I see it: if Norway beats Iceland, while we take down Denmark, those three teams effectively form a loop where everyone sits at a 1:1 head-to-head record. If the next tiebreaker is total goal difference, then Iceland would definitely be sitting in the strongest position.

I mean, if we take down Dance, then yeah, we’ll have earned that win. But right now? It feels totally unearned because Lino & co are just out there making a complete mockery of everything with those ridiculous statements they're making.

So, if Norway plays Iceland, what happens to us?
..The thing is, we don't exactly have a great track record when they start playing "for our sake."

Please, why even worry? We're facing the Danes, and Kopljar is stepping up. It's an easy win, probably even a +1 😂

Sure, but the real question is how much incentive they’ll actually have. Even if they manage to take down Iceland, they'd still be looking at our match against Denmark—a game that wouldn't mean a thing to us since we'd likely just rotate the squad and give the starters a rest.
