About five months ago, I suffered a broken collarbone that required surgery, where they used a metal plate and screws to ensure everything healed perfectly straight. While the bone itself has mended well, I’ve noticed a strange sensation in my anterior deltoid—it feels somewhat numb. It isn't that I lack sensation entirely; I can still feel touch and muscle contractions quite clearly, but there is this underlying feeling of being "deadened" when I press on it. Everything functions normally during daily tasks, yet I find myself hesitant to push it too hard with heavy weights for fear of triggering some unforeseen complication. Does anyone have any insight into what might be causing this kind of sensory shift?😕
