If anyone is interested, I have ZZ Top on DVD...

I’ve got that DVD, and man, it’s fantastic! I also have this bootleg DVD of the live show in Essen from '80—that Rockpalast concert—and the quality is actually incredible. I even read somewhere that they might release an official version soon with upgraded picture and sound, which is what we're all waiting for! It's such a bummer about the NYC show, though; I was really looking forward to seeing them there.

it's not like Vienna is that far away either🙂

Is it really possible that people still don't grasp the sheer scale of the overhead here? A band of this caliber costs a fortune—not to mention the rental fees for Madison Square Garden, the security detail, lighting, sound, and God knows what else... It’s all incredibly expensive. There is absolutely zero chance that ticket sales alone will cover the entire debt

The real fools are the ones pushing for a concert when they know perfectly well there isn't even a realistic theory for them to just break even🙄

Got my ticket for NYC safely tucked away in a secure spot—aiming for the fan pit.

P.S. Can someone refresh my memory on when they last played in Washington, D.C.? I recall there being organized trips coming out of Chicago back then... must have been several years ago, maybe 2002 or 2003?
