The standard ones, the knuckle-draggers, even those down on their knees...

...on my boxers...😁

I don't bother with pushups anymore. I’d much rather just hit the gym and crush a heavy bench press session.

There was this one stretch where I set my sights on hitting 100 pushups in a single go. It took me a few weeks to actually get there.

Aside from that specific goal, I wasn't really doing any pushups at all.

Honestly, you’d be shocked at just how much of a game-changer push-ups can be if you actually nail your form and start throwing some extra weight on top.

I’ve been sticking to weighted dips lately. Honestly, if you ask me, they’re the absolute best move for hitting the chest. I’ve read a ton about all those different variations—like dumbbell flyes, cable crossovers, or even using kettlebells—and they definitely look legit. I just haven't really had the drive to switch things up right now, but I'll probably get around to testing them out eventually.

Oh, I completely blanked on the most important part... let me just add the boxers to my question as well.😬

Everyone is just throwing shade, yet nobody has actually answered. ☕
I could pull off ten of those slim-fit ones—arms straight at my sides.

Standard reps—maybe 50 to 60 at a time... my absolute favorites have to be decline push-ups, like using a wall or a bench to elevate my feet. It hits the entire upper body like crazy.

Last time I checked, I could hit about 55 reps with standard weight... maybe three months ago. Now? Honestly, I have no clue what my max is right now. 🤷

If I prop my feet up on a chair and just take it easy, I can probably hit around 30, if my memory serves me right. Honestly, you should give it a shot since it's been a minute for me!

Yeah, breathing exercises are seriously awesome for staying centered.

60-70 standard reps🤷 I don't think I even pushed myself past that point

And maybe around 40 when I elevate my feet

With my palms at a medium width, though personally, I find it easier when my hands—well, my palms—are set a bit wider

I’ve completely stopped doing push-ups—honestly, the cable machine and the bench press are just carrying the whole show right now 😁

Man, I’d love to see a video of one of those guys claiming they can crank out 50+ pushups in a row.

It's nothing but absolute meatheads over here. 🙂

I don't know... I could probably pull off 40 or 50 perfectly... anything beyond that is a stretch.

Everyone here is just a tank. 🙂

Is 50 reps really such an impossible number to reach?

For instance, hitting 40 pushups is basically the baseline to pass the physical fitness test for the National Guard (that nets you 60 points; I pulled 80 on my last assessment).
I'll double-check the exact rep count later.

I can hit 10—those narrow ones where you keep your arms tight against your sides.

Me too, I can do 10 🙈
And those "feminine" ones on my knees? I can manage plenty of those, though I've never actually counted... I tend to keep my arms wide during those.
As for doing them on my hands, I haven't even attempted that.
Oh, and when I'm using a Pilates ball and my legs are out, I can probably push my arms out to about 20 inches or so.

Back when I was training in high school, I could manage about 5... now I can barely scrape together one. It's absurd... ☕
