Alright, let's get straight to the point. I'm trying to figure out exactly which muscle groups these exercises target. Here are some photos—could you guys take a look and tell me which exercise hits what?

The first one looks like a bow-and-arrow pull... which muscles is that working?

This one is done at chest level with both hands moving evenly. I noticed the deltoids are definitely getting involved, but what else is being recruited here?

This one is held high above the head (it feels like my shoulders are doing most of the heavy lifting?)

I actually posted this question under someone else's photos on the forum a while back, but I didn't get any replies.

I know the Chest expander isn't exactly the most mainstream piece of equipment out there, but I'm hoping someone here can help me out. It seems like there's almost nothing about the Chest expander online in America, aside from just basic demonstrations of the movements that I already know.

I honestly don't think any of these really hit the chest. The first one looks more like it's targeting your triceps and maybe some back muscles, but I can't be sure about the others since you can't actually see the movement clearly... anyway, my advice? Put the Chest expander away and start working on pull-ups, because you aren't going to see any real results this way.

I’ve been sticking to my dumbbells lately, but honestly, if you already have that Chest expander lying around, why wouldn't you put it to use? It’s not like the movements are hard to figure out.

Come on, people, I’m begging you—help me out here! Is there really nobody on this entire forum who knows anything about the Chest expander? Am I actually going to reach the point where I have to start calling out the self-proclaimed experts around here? Seriously! Alright, let's see... Silverback Gorilla, Iced Earth, Otter, and hey, even you, Edward Mitchell4, please help me out!

How on earth is anyone supposed to help you when absolutely nobody uses that thing? It wasn't even being used back in '91, either!🤣

Hahaha😂😂😂 I know, and honestly, it's what worries me!🤣I suppose there might be some similar exercise tucked away in those fancy boutique gyms of yours, so maybe you could draw some conclusions from that!

Honestly, you should just consign that Chest expander of yours to the scrap heap and go study some actual home workout tutorials on YouTube instead.
