Breast reconstruction surgery

Anyone here have any real-world experience with this?? I’m looking into getting an autologous reconstruction where they use tissue from my abdomen to build a new breast... I’d love to hear about the recovery process and what the final results actually look like, plus if anyone has some solid advice from people who've gone through something similar.

It’s honestly such a shame that this thread is so quiet—I really feel like it could be such a lifesaver for those of us who have gone through breast cancer surgery.

Hi everyone!! I really need some advice. I’ve been dealing with chronic mastitis and abscesses, and now the doctors have decided they need to remove most of the breast tissue 🙏since my first surgery didn't clear everything up. Since I'm still quite young at 25, I was wondering if I might be eligible for breast reconstruction through my health insurance, or if there's any way to get partial coverage? Please share your experiences if you can—you guys are such a huge help! 👍

So, I’ve gone with a silicone primary reconstruction—it's my main setup—and I just wear an insert over the silicone itself.
