I honestly feel like they could be handing out a lot more points given how things look right now.

A good number of them will probably end up shifting the barriers at Monaco
They used to bang into them all the time back in the day—so I don't see why they wouldn't now, especially since the cars are about 25% larger than they were a decade ago.

Every legendary driver has rattled those barriers, and if today's soft drivers won't, then who will?

Ayrton Senna during the '88 race, just out of nowhere
Michael Schumacher in '96 during a warm-up lap after taking pole,
Jenson Button in the Wehrlein 2017 era when he was swapping places with Alonso
It doesn't take much deep thinking to realize how easily you can tear through a safety barrier in Monaco.

It seems like none of you sheep have actually been to Monaco during a race weekend, yet here you are talking nonsense and acting like seasoned F1 experts.
In reality, you probably have zero connection to everyday life, let alone the world of racing.

What kind of logic is this where they count the formation lap behind the SC as the first lap of the race now? 🤦

Honestly, these Americans trying to mimic an American accent... it's just painful.

🤣🤣

I honestly hate the countdown. Nothing ever actually happens... damn it.

Has anyone here actually spent five races in a row getting intimately acquainted with the barriers?

Ashley Ramirez4 said:No way. Even the old legends wouldn't be able to drive these modern cars through those puddles on part of the track... they'd basically turn into boats before they finished.

Oh, come on now, even the old beasts were absolute monsters with heaps of turbo power and they managed to drive through the rain just fine.
I mean, you aren't hitting 150 mph, maybe more like 80, and you aren't braking 400 feet late instead of 250. If someone isn't capable of handling that, well, what are they even doing in Formula 1?

It’s a rolling start, and then—boom—the green lights flash.

And we are under way! The lights are out and the race has officially begun.

There isn't much time left before we're all finally relieved from the headache of this entire racing circus.🤣

I’m laying down the law right here... I propose that between you two, whoever ends up being wrong, you have to officially become a fan of the opposing driver for the next five races. No excuses! 😁

Race is underway.
They should probably be wrapped up by 6 PM—I guess.

If Sergio Perez had actually been driving for Scuderia Ferrari, he would’ve walked away with both of those wins easy

Alpine isn't planning to renew their deal with Alonso for 2023
And honestly—they might even pull the plug before the 2022 season officially wraps up

Man, you clearly haven't seen the standing water out there—even SC had issues and they weren't even pushing it.
