Yesterday, I noticed this weird pain deep down in my right lower lip. I can feel this little lump when I touch it, though there isn't anything obvious to see—maybe just a tiny bit of redness. I’ve honestly never dealt with anything like this before. Does anyone have any inkling of what might be going on?

Are you experiencing any itching? Have you been on any antibiotics lately? I went through something very similar about a month ago—I noticed some swelling and a distinct thickening in the area—and it turned out to be a pretty intense yeast infection.

I went through something pretty similar once, though for me it was more of a lump, and turns out my lymph nodes were just swollen; they ended up shrinking back down on their own eventually

No itching at all, just some pain when I touch it. No antibiotics recently, either. On the surface, everything looks fine, though it's a little redder than usual on the inside, near the vaginal opening.

And no, it isn't an ingrown hair.

just give it a few days and you'll see it start to settle down, honestly... just whatever you do, don't go poking at it because that's a surefire way to make things worse-
if it isn't actually bothering you, just let it be and get on with your life

I really hope Nadan isn't dealing with anything serious and that it all just clears up on its own.

Look, maybe this is just nothing—just a total fluke—but then again, maybe it’s the start of something bigger.

If you can't get an appointment with your regular doctor, just call a gynecologist instead.

I had this absolutely identical sensation once when I developed a little sore right on my lip. To be fair, it didn't look anything like those typical facial breakouts you see everywhere, but goodness, it was quite painful! If things don't start settling down within a few days... I suppose I'll just have to go see my OB-GYN.

I have a question... basically, over the last year, I’ve dealt with yeast infections three separate times, and every single instance happened right after taking antibiotics. I never used to have any issues like this, even when I had to take antibiotics in the past... but lately, every time I finish a course, the itching and burning starts up again. Of course, I go to my gynecologist, get some vaginal suppositories, and everything eventually settles back to normal.

But this time, things are different. I was prescribed antibiotics for an infected wisdom tooth, and toward the end of the treatment, the itching returned once more. So, I went back to my doctor and got more suppositories—some kind of medication containing Fluconazole.

There are usually three in a pack. Everything seemed fine at first; the itching and burning disappeared, but now I'm facing a completely different issue. I am incredibly dry down there, and when I get aroused, the lubrication isn't thin or watery like it should be—it's thick, and it makes sex physically painful. It feels like he's just pushing against something bone-dry, even if I felt lubricated just a minute before. Honestly, I feel like something is fundamentally wrong. It feels as though all these rounds of antibiotics and suppositories have left some sort of lasting impact on my body.

My gynecologist suggested I try taking Lyctogin, or something to that effect, and I actually started taking it today. Apparently, my pH levels are completely out of whack, which is making me much more sensitive. I'm just sitting here wondering if these tablets can actually fix this specific problem.

Has anyone else gone through something similar or had any experience with this?

anyone tried them before?

Yeah. That's literally what they're for.

So, I finally bit the bullet and bought them, and I actually started my first round today. 😢I am truly holding out hope that this will finally resolve everything, because right now, intimacy is completely off the table for me. It’s just physically impossible at this stage.

Yeah, obviously... when you're "wounded." Just let her recover for a bit—she'll pay you back tenfold... 😍

I was gonna suggest some lube to make things a little easier, but I actually thought better of it... honestly, I wouldn't even dare put anything in there until I've had a bit more time to recover.

If you've already wiped out all the fungi and bacteria, then this is just collateral damage. It’ll pass...

Yes, I’ve been using the vaginal lubricants, and while things have generally calmed down, I am dealing with extreme dryness. No matter how aroused I get, within a minute, I feel completely dry again. We actually managed to have intercourse yesterday, but after only about two minutes of penetration, I started feeling this sudden sensation of drying out down there, which made everything quite painful.

I honestly have never experienced anything like this before, and it has me feeling genuinely concerned. I am just holding onto the hope that these tablets will eventually take effect and provide the help I need to allow my body to recover properly...

A few days ago, my boyfriend did digital penetration (only the second time this has ever happened to me). At first, it felt fine, but then things started hurting, and by the next day, I noticed some swelling in my vulva area. Everything seemed to settle down by that evening—the swelling went down and the pain subsided—but I’m a bit thrown off because I didn't have this reaction the first time. My OBGYN appointment isn't for another month, and honestly, I'm worried about this happening again next time. Does anyone know of any preventive measures or things I can do beforehand?

🙂
I shouldn't say this to you, but my first thought when I read this was just... maybe you're still super young and can't tell the difference between "swelling" 😍 from being turned on... vs actual swelling...

Sorry, just thought your post was sweet 😉

Maybe those pains you mentioned are just a weird sensation from having his fingers inside you rather than actual pain... either way, I don't think you have anything to worry about. Just pay attention to how your body reacts and learn to "communicate" with it. It'll all click eventually... 😍

What happens if Lactygyn doesn't actually do the trick? Is there anything out there that works better than this? I have four tablets left to take, but honestly, I’m not seeing any real improvement yet. As for seeing a dentist, I can't manage that for at least another week since I'm currently out on the coast. I fully intend to get it sorted the moment I'm back home, though my main concern is whether the clinic will even take me as a patient 🙄

In any case, I would truly appreciate some recommendations... perhaps other pills or specific creams that might be more effective?😢

Are you actually dealing with something specific, or just annoyed by all these meds

because none of this stuff matters if you don't fix the root cause first...

Lactogyn is basically just preventative—it's meant to keep your flora balanced and maintain things. Like any supplement, you aren't going to see magic happen in a week.

If you want something else, you could try a tampon soaked in LGG yogurt, or those Vagisil wipes. Personally, I had decent results with the Vagisil...

As I mentioned previously, I have dealt with three separate yeast infections over the past year, all triggered by courses of antibiotics. Each time, my gynecologist prescribed different medicated vaginal suppositories, which seemed to resolve the immediate infection quite effectively.

About three weeks ago, I contracted another infection and used a small three-pack of suppositories provided by my doctor. While that successfully cleared up the irritation, I’ve run into a completely different issue: whenever we try to have intercourse, it is impossible because I am experiencing extreme dryness. I simply cannot produce any natural lubrication. My doctor suggested I take some Lactogin probiotics to help restore my vaginal flora, which I have been doing, though I only have four tablets left.

My partner has definitely noticed a change in our intimacy. While I can manage to get lubricated externally through stimulation, I am incredibly dry internally, and I honestly can't wrap my head around why this is happening. We can engage in foreplay and I can even reach orgasm, but actual intercourse is out of the question because... well, it just doesn't work. It causes pain for him and significant discomfort for me. I am feeling quite lost on what steps to take next or what products I might need to use to return to a normal level of natural lubrication.😬

my bad, didn't catch the earlier posts before replying.

in times like this (honestly, always)—the only lube that actually works for me without causing more drama than it solves is a specific one you can grab at CVS... it's got tea tree oil in it. used to be just called tea tree oil lube, but now it’s the TY & JA gel by Pfizer.
