To be honest, the crowd at the party was alright, I suppose, though they certainly weren't quite the same kind of group you'd expect to see heading off to a massive rave in Goa 🤣 🤣 🤣

If I’d just had my camera on me, I probably would have snapped some shots of them and told them they were basically the hardest-working ravers out there, maybe even promising to feature them on the Pegla website 🤣 🤣 🤣

I guess if I’d been a bit more high, we might have actually gotten up and danced together during the set 😁

It’s the same old story with techno music—hardly anyone actually knows where things started or how they evolved. Once people start nitpicking over genres and subgenres, everyone starts arguing, and honestly, I don't get why anyone cares. For me, it’s all about the sound. I just want that killer bass that hits you right in the chest and gets the whole crowd moving. I want that sound that forces a smile onto your face, makes your feet move on their own, and sends your hands up in the air. I want that vibe that warms your soul and leaves you with that sweet ringing in your ears for five or six hours after the party's over.
And if you're really that clueless about who was first or what happened when, just use Google or Wikipedia. It's called the internet. Use it.

I was born in '91, and since basically '99 or '00, I've been deep into electronic music, mostly Techno (no minimal for me, that just isn't Techno 😁 ) so I pretty much know my stuff...

I honestly feel that I shouldn't be lectured by someone who wasn't even born during that era of the scene. Perhaps they could save their constant copy-pasting, Wikipedia citations, and all that other stuff for their own generation—those folks who love playing the role of the internet wiki warrior and debating history while they still have baby teeth. It feels a bit like me trying to teach my parents what it was actually like at old school house parties back in the day before I was even a thought in their minds. Or like someone trying to explain how the Gulf War kicked off to me, when I remember watching it unfold on TV from the very beginning, long before they were even around.

Yeah, I’ve been listening to Led Zeppelin since I was just a little thing in my mother's womb; she used to lean her belly against the speaker, hoping maybe one day I might grow up to be a musician. I did end up finishing music school, though I suppose I'm certainly no hitmaker on the level of Luka Nižetić 🙏 🙏 🙏

Yeah, basically jumped from 8 to 9 by diving into house and trance, then around 12 I got into Techno—you know, Cox, Hawtin, Vath, Clarke and the crew 😍. Lately I've moved toward trance and hardtek, though I still dig Techno in general (just nothing minimal)...

As for minimal, I wouldn't even call it techno. There are a few tracks that hit okay, and a couple of minimal producers or DJs I actually dig...
I'm not hating on it, I'm just saying it's not my vibe, especially that repetitive plink-plonk stuff where you don't get even ten seconds of actual melody in a five-minute track.
I'm not trashing it any more than I would any other genre I'm not into. Everyone's got their own taste, and you can't really argue with that...
