I’m stoked Alonso won, and congrats to you too👍, but don't take this the wrong way—if it weren't for those stupid penalties, Alonso would've finished 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th. I mean, damn, the BMW was fast, but first they docked Heidfeld three spots on the grid, and then there was that whole idiot situation with the pit lane penalties🙄 Honestly, Rosberg would have left him 40 seconds behind without that penalty😉 and if anyone actually drove a masterful race, it was Nico🙏🙏🙏 plus, Kubica would've been ahead of Alonso even if they'd called him into the pits immediately; instead, he's stuck circling the track two or three slow laps behind Fisica and still gets penalized. If he'd just pulled the trigger like Rosberg and gone straight in, he would've been up front building a gap to negate the penalty

Alonso always drives on the absolute edge; if he didn't, he'd have zero points. That's nothing new. What's new is that he actually got lucky this time, and Renault wasn't a total dumpster fire like usual. They actually had some decent pace for once👍

It was masterful how he drove that race—absolutely flawless execution, grabbing every single opportunity that came his way. He’s been doing that all season long, not just today. It’s night and day compared to the current World Champion. If the champ were driving that car, he wouldn't be fighting his way from 15th up to first place like some kind of underdog story; he'd be consistently winning from pole position.

But today, Alonso secured that win because, in this specific instance, the driver provided that extra 11%.
