Hey ladies, listen up
I really need you to tell me if anyone else has dealt with something like this before...
So, basically... yesterday I noticed this little white bump in my private area... kind of looked like a pimple at first. But today I realized the whole area is actually way bigger than just one spot... honestly, when I touch it, it hurts like crazy... it feels like there's something solid inside... like a hard lump that throbs whenever I grab it... I don't even know how to describe it better... it's located on the outer labia where the hair grows

Thanks for any help...

That sounds like a tiny cyst. I actually had two of them once that just cleared up on their own. My doctor explained that sometimes cysts can "activate" if your hormones decide to go rogue for a bit. I have no idea how much scientific truth there is to that, but they just vanished without any intervention.

Could all this be happening because of the pill? I already mentioned that cysts usually pop up when your hormones are totally out of whack, and let’s face it, birth control is basically a hormone bomb... and I actually just started taking them recently.. I don't know.. the whole thing is honestly freaking me out. I'm terrified I might end up with some kind of cancer or some crazy complication I didn't see coming.. so I'm rushing to my OB-GYN as fast as I can to get a straight answer on what's actually going on. But in the meantime, I figured I'd come here and ask for some advice just to try and quiet my racing mind a little bit. Ugh, 😢

I actually just got my hands on those wipes while I was at Cilest; I had stepped out for some other business, and they were gone instantly. It might be a better idea to check in with your OB-GYN just to rule anything else out.

Secondly, I’m really hoping they’re just as clear as mine were. That wasn't an issue for me at all, aside from the fact that they were pretty tender to the touch until they finally subsided.

Of course it hurts when there's that much pus—my cyst is inflamed and I need to apply some Betrion to the area. For me, these things flare up regardless of whether I'm on birth control or not; I've dealt with them both while taking pills and after stopping, so I don't think they're linked. And no, you definitely shouldn't try to squeeze them out—that's just asking for trouble. What I do is prick it with a sterile needle to let it drain, then apply the Betrion, and it usually clears up within two days without any issues.

Wait, what exactly is Betrion? (I'm totally out of the loop here, haha)

Thanks, haha
would that be similar to something like Neosporin?

No, that's not right. Betadine is just pure povidone-iodine used for disinfection—basically just iodine. This is an antibiotic, a medication 😉

I'll need to do a little digging at our local hospital since I'm not entirely familiar with the specific medical terminology used here in the States.

Thanks regardless!

Is it actually coming out? Oh man... doesn't that hurt like hell? I seriously can't stand pain, and honestly, I feel like that would be absolutely agonizing in a spot like that...
