Guys, I need help, and I need it fast.
I’m stuck in the middle of this online course—one of those things where you have to grind through exercises to move forward—and I just hit a massive wall on the very last one.

It keeps throwing this error at me: You need a browser which supports WebGL to run this content. Try installing Chrome

The thing is, I *am* using Chrome, and I’ve been using it for the entire damn course until now. Suddenly, out of nowhere, I get this error right when I absolutely have to finish this exercise to unlock the final part of the program.

How do I fix this? I'm running Windows 7.
I hope I'm making sense here 😁, I'm definitely no tech wizard.

Thanks in advance for any help.

First, make sure you've updated Chrome (if you haven't already), and you might also want to try looking at this: http://superuser.com/questions/83683...-in-my-browser

Thanks. I gave that a shot and it didn't work at all.
I sent an email to my professor asking if there's any way to submit this besides using their specific app. Apparently, they force us to use this one proprietary platform built just for this online course. We'll see what they say.

I’ve never run into this kind of nonsense while working with graphics before—I mean, I use Photoshop all the time without a hitch. But now that I'm forced to use this specific software, everything's gone sideways.

The deadline for my final project is breathing down my neck (it's tomorrow... yeah, I procrastinated, don't judge 😵 )... so I'm really hoping they give me some other way to get this done.
If all else fails, I guess I'll try running it on a different computer (maybe head over to my neighbor's place 😁).

From what I can tell, I'm getting hit with that "graphics card/drivers are blacklisted" error, whatever that's supposed to mean. Honestly, I'm terrified of poking around too much and actually breaking something, since I'm definitely not a tech expert by any stretch of the imagination. 🙈

Give this a shot:

First, get WebGL up and running:

Head over to about:config
Look up webgl.disabled
Make sure that value is set to false (and yeah, the changes kick in right away without needing to restart Chrome)
Next, check if WebGL is actually working:

Go to about:support
Check out the WebGL Renderer line in the Graphics section:
If you see a manufacturer, a model, and a driver listed (for example, "Nvidia Corporation -- Nvidia GeForce gt 650 m OpenGL Engine"), then WebGL is good to go.
If it says something like "Blocked for Your graphics card because of unresolved driver issues" or "Blocked for your graphics driver version", then your hardware or driver has been blacklisted.
If you're dealing with a blacklist, you can technically force it to work. Just a heads-up though: I wouldn't recommend it... (check the note on blacklists below). If you want to try anyway, here's how:

Go back to about:config
Find webgl.force-enabled
Switch it to true

Thanks...
I honestly didn't have the guts to try this before turning in my assignment; I was terrified I’d just brick the whole thing.
But I finally pulled the trigger today using a coworker's PC 😁

Indeed, this was actually my final drill in this app, but since I saved everything... I'm gonna dive back in over the weekend when I actually have some breathing room.

Lesson learned: stop leaving everything until the absolute last second. 😵
