I decided to start fresh with a new account because my current username is honestly pretty terrible.

The thing is, even after I finished signing up, nothing showed up in my inbox. I did a little digging and figured out that if your confirmation email doesn't arrive, you’re supposed to submit a registration request. So, I went ahead and did that yesterday right around midnight. It’s been twelve hours now, and still absolutely nothing...

What am I supposed to do at this point?😕

Just send the request again. You really should have used a more reliable email address from the jump—something like Gmail or even better, one provided by your ISP, like Comcast or AT&T. If nothing shows up, you'll eventually have to find a way to prove to the admins that this is actually your new handle so they can manually activate your account in the system. A fair amount of people run into this exact headache, so it’s likely just a glitch with the forum software. 🙂

I’m sticking with my Yahoo account! Honestly, if I really have to prove myself, I’ll just step up to that new moment of truth quiz. 😁

Can someone please give me a hand here? I’m dying to jump into the discussions and actually start my own thread, but for some reason, I just can't seem to get it working...

You won't be able to post any messages or start new threads just yet because you're still stuck in the "Awaiting email confirmation" user group. Until you verify your account, the forum's administrative settings will keep those features locked away from you.

I'd suggest checking your spam folder or junk mail in that Yahoo account you used first; those confirmation emails have a nasty habit of getting buried there. If it's nowhere to be found, go ahead and request a new one, but if I were you, I'd use a Gmail address this time (you can always set up a new one if you don't have one handy). Honestly, Yahoo tends to run into all sorts of hiccups with automated confirmation emails—it's a pretty common headache, much like what people experience with Hotmail or other smaller free email providers out there.

Now, if you try using a Gmail address and that confirmation mail still doesn't show up, then the issue isn't on your end—it's likely a problem with the forum itself. From what I've gathered lately, things have been acting a bit glitchy around here, so it’s entirely possible the system just isn't sending them out properly right now.

They have a point. Long story short, the forum is dying. Send me a DM from that new account so I can get 🙂
activated for you.
