Best third-party toner options?

So, what’s the deal with generic toner for laser printers? Where are you guys getting them, or are you just refilling your own cartridges at home?
I'm looking to pick up a new printer soon, so I could really use some intel here.

I've messed around with HP's compatible toners before.
The page yield is pretty much on par with the original stuff—sometimes you even squeeze out a few extra hundred pages—the only catch is you lose that precise control over your toner consumption.

I’d recommend Xerox. I haven't had any issues with the chip at all. I have two printers—one monochrome—and I'm actually pretty impressed with their refilling service.

Man, if you're looking for someone who actually knows what they're doing, I happened to stumble upon Xerox in Washington, D.C. Honestly, most of the other guys out there are straight-up scammers. And don't even get me started on those macro-micro types—they should probably be behind bars; I’m surprised they aren't selling livestock feed at this point. With Xerox, you know you aren't getting some cheap crap from overseas. You can just hand them your own toner and get the exact same thing back. I work in graphic design, so I really need my blacks to be deep and solid. I tried buying toner online from some random companies for dirt cheap prices, but the quality was such garbage I almost had to toss my printer out the window. When I asked about the warranty, they just offered me a different unit. Then, when I asked what happens to my actual printer, they basically said it wasn't their problem. Like, what am I supposed to do, fly all the way to Taiwan to get it fixed? It's ridiculous. I honestly don't know how anyone even lets them stay in business.

I've tried just about everything, but now I know better. They weren't exactly shouting from the rooftops, so I luckily stumbled upon them—a happy accident, really. You should definitely give them a shot; their pricing is actually fair. Like you said, there's a lot of junk toner out there. I once bought an OEM cartridge and ended up with nothing but headaches, but I've been using these guys for over a year now. They're solid. Plus, they offer delivery, so life is easy. ha,ha,ha

Does anyone know if Xerox delivers outside of Washington, D.C.? Also, is it true they swap out the roller in every single toner cartridge?

Up until now, I've stuck to originals or used Inkjet replacements, which are decent, but they're still pretty close to the price of the name brands...

I have no clue what their delivery radius is, so you're probably better off giving www.xerox.com a call. As for what they actually do to the toner during the refill process? Honestly, I haven't a clue. My only concern is that the damn thing actually works.

Should I just bite the bullet and grab an original toner, or go with this instead? The price difference is honestly insane, and the manufacturer swears up and down that their quality is top-tier. Anyone here actually know if it's legit?

Look, I figured I’d jump in here and help you guys out since things aren't exactly going your way. I picked up my toner from them and honestly, the thing runs like a dream—plus, I ended up saving a ton of cash compared to what I was paying before. 🤣

I totally forgot to mention that I picked up the printer over there too, and I need to make sure they’ll honor the warranty if I end up grabbing a replacement toner. Basically, everything else should stay exactly the same, just obviously not the price.😁

So, I started messing around with some third-party toners and ended up running into this one sales rep. I grabbed a sample from him just to see what the deal was, and honestly? Now I’m buying from him non-stop. He even went as far as saying he’ll cover the printer's warranty if anything actually breaks because of the toner—provided, obviously, that the machine is still under its original manufacturer's warranty.
The print quality on these laser ones is basically identical to the OEM stuff since they swap out all the essential components.

Price-wise, they're pretty solid, plus they offer delivery right here in Washington, D.C. They’ll ship to anywhere else in the States too, though you do have to hit a minimum order of $167 to get that sent out.

I'm looking to pick up a laser printer by $333, and I was pretty set on Epson's M2000D. The problem is, I can't find compatible toner ANYWHERE. I've scoured about half a dozen sites—checked Amazon, Staples, you name it—and nothing.
Anyone know if this is a dead end, or should I just give up on this model? 🙄

Does anyone know if there are companies in the US that buy back used toner cartridges? I seem to remember some firm offering a discount on new ones, kind of like $3.25 based on how much empty toner you have left... it’s probably not a fortune, but I’ve got a massive pile of old cartridges sitting here that I’d rather not just toss in the trash (call it environmental consciousness or whatever...). I don't need full ones, though, because my printer's fuser just kicked the bucket. :/

They're definitely available, and I know exactly where to grab them, www.office depot.com for about $317, though you might have to order the cheaper generic versions from overseas and wait about 20 days for shipping.

I picked up some replacement toner for my HP at a local print shop, and honestly, I couldn't be happier with the results.
I usually run the Q2612A, but they actually stock the Q2612X, which offers twice the page yield for the exact same price. As for the print quality? It’s indistinguishable from the original.
