Can you swim with tampons?

Hey girls, I’ve never actually used tampons before. I really want to go swimming at the pool, but I’m going to be on my period, so I wanted to ask—what has your experience been like using tampons while swimming? Is it totally safe? Thanks so much!

Personally, I’ve never had any issues whatsoever when it comes to using tampons while swimming... everything is just perfect 🙂

I usually just pop a tampon in, take a few dips, and then head out to change it... it's perfectly fine, honestly, just be careful when you're putting it in and make sure you leave the string hanging out...

Look, water gets in sometimes—yeah. It’s not like your rear end where you have a sphincter constantly keeping everything tightly shut.🙄

I guess mine is just my luck, while yours is some kind of airtight seal. 🤷

Ugh, this whole debate about soaking tampons in water has already popped up in a similar thread before 😵

I mean, it makes sense to me that some water gets in, since nothing down there is exactly airtight, right? 🤷 I haven't actually had to test out a tampon while swimming yet, though—thankfully!
