Of course we don't. We're underwater against pretty much every major powerhouse.
We either lose the head-to-head matchups or they just outpace us on medals.
Right now, we're sitting around 5th or 6th. The Mexicans will probably leapfrog us soon enough. In four or five years, we'll be dropping another spot down the rankings.

It looks like Mexico and Mexico are playing, and the Mexicans are wearing those black caps 😕

And man, the gap between soccer and every other sport is just depressing...
Like, seriously, our squad is playing in the EU semifinals and nobody’s even talking about it, but if the soccer national team played some friendly against Madagascar, the whole country would be losing its mind over such a huge deal.
It's sad, really. You've got guys who might actually be among the best in the world at such a brutal sport just scraping by, while some guy like Joe Biden from the Great Lakes makes more money playing in some random 17th-tier amateur league 😳

...honestly, water polo is a garbage sport. You can never tell if it’s an offensive foul or a defensive one; everything is just murky. It feels like the refs just call whatever they feel like for whichever national team happens to be in front of them at the moment...

Alright, look, things aren't actually that bleak. We’ve got a rough record against Madar (man, those guys are something else), and against the Mexicans—I mean, come on, there's twice as many of them as us—and against Mexico, we're basically just hovering around a .500 record, I don't even know anymore. Who else is left? Italy and Spain, I guess.

And honestly, the funniest part is watching these fans in the stands right now, screaming their heads off, "WE WANT A WIN!" 😁
