How would you choose to go?

I'm honestly hoping for something quick and painless. Like a massive heart attack when I'm 70 so I don't lose my mind completely!
Just imagine surviving only to spend the next ten years living as a total invalid.
I’d rather just drift off peacefully and wake up in paradise.😁

I suppose I would find myself wanting to say, from the very bottom of my heart, right in the middle of sex,

I’ve always thought there’d be something peaceful about just passing away in my sleep, tucked away somewhere truly beautiful... 🙂

The best way to go? Just old age, peacefully in my sleep.🙂
Fast and painless... that’s how I’d take it.

quick and painless... that's the dream for me
Plus, if someone's elderly or dealing with a heart attack or stroke,
"natural death" just means it wasn't violent, and I'm assuming they weren't a teenager when it happened.

Exactly. It beats being one of those passengers in a car crash who dies screaming in agony. 😁
Honestly, this might be one of the darker threads we've had on here. I feel like you almost have to be going through an emo phase to even consider posting something like this, right?

I’d honestly love to take a leap from some massive skyscraper—just for the thrill!
Flying has always been such a huge dream of mine...🙂

So, what, you’re actually planning on taking your own life instead of just dying of old age?
#11 ·
I mean, it would be quite the experience... imagine leaping from the top of a skyscraper in Chicago, and then just twenty meters before you hit the pavement, some kind of divine intervention strikes you down. 😬

Hit the big hundred, just from old age. And no, I’m not being dramatic. 😁
It honestly blows my mind that people actually look forward to kicking the bucket at seventy. Is that just some kid thing where everyone in their fifties looks like a fossil to you? 😁

So, I was thinking about this the other day. Honestly? It’d be fine if death just caught me totally off guard. Like, imagine some disaster hits a small town in the Midwest and we all just get wiped out by a nuclear shockwave 😁—ideally from behind, in a split second.
I don't want to spend even a single moment feeling that pre-death panic, I guess. That's why.
The same goes for dying in your sleep.

Look, it’s not 😁 unknown 🙂 to be aware that you're mortal
Sure, maybe wanting to kick the bucket at 15—or acting like you do—is one thing 😁
But let's get real: any of us could drop dead at any moment, right now for all we know 🤷

I completely 👍
Another point is the quality of life. If I were stuck in bed from age seventy until that hundredth milestone, needing someone to change my diapers and handle basic care, I wouldn't want to live to a hundred at all.

Honestly though, I'm not even sure if that's something I'd actually want to do, even in a dream. I think I'd much rather be conscious for it—you know, like in those movies where you're lying there, surrounded by all your great-grandchildren, and you get to drop one last piece of profound wisdom before you go. 😳

Same here.

I don't want to spend even one single moment feeling terrified before the end, so there's that.
Same goes for sleeping.
That facility can't explode, let alone detonate like a nuclear bomb. ☕
But honestly? Sitting on top of a hydrogen bomb sounds pretty acceptable to me. 🤔

Hell yeah no way... even in my dreams..
man, i wish i could actually be conscious for a moment like that 👍
