Man, I can't help but wonder what's going through the minds of Daniel Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat right now. It’s such a wild contrast, isn't it? You have one guy watching some kid take his first seat at Red Bull Racing and walk straight into a victory, while the other feels like he's watching everything slip through his fingers.

True... but he's still got three drivers ahead of him to hunt down first

Max Verstappen. 🙏 🙏 👍 Just sign him right now. I don't care who does it.
Ferrari! 🤮
Mercedes-AMG is absolutely brilliant! 😬

p.s.
The races are just so much better when these two aren't leading the pack. 🙏

steelmaker83 said:Young Max is the future. Besides, he was faster than Ricciardo. Plus, a debut win following a sudden mistake? Sounds good. And Red Bull loves that kind of narrative. It’s similar to how they handled Sebastian Vettel’s first title, backing him over Mark Webber even though Webber had more points and theoretically better odds.

Of course they did! This whole move was driven by marketing.

An opportunity presented itself and they jumped on it. They seized it.

those tires look pretty beefy to me🙂

The real issue here is an unintelligent driver who completely shredded those tires.

two of them are running dead tires, and the third guy is basically a mid-tier driver anyway

Goodyear really let Ferrari down here...

Max got those incredible Goodyear tires—it’s giving me major Pastor Maldonado vibes from four years ago!

Kim actually went head-to-head against Max's dad back in his Formula 1 days!

It's just mind-blowing, isn't it?

The tires will hold up.

If Kim actually pulls off a win, I’m going to celebrate just like he does... though, to be honest, I’ve already started pouring a few drinks, just in case 😂

If Mercedes-AMG wasn't even in the picture, this whole F1 thing would basically just be one big guessing game

What a complete disaster of a driver this Vettel is.

This just goes to show how much the driver actually matters. Mercedes-AMG might have the car, but they’re lacking the right talent behind the wheel. Even Sebastian Vettel said to his boss back in Russia, "Get Max Verstappen back into Toro Rosso." Daniel Ricciardo just isn't cut out for a championship run—he lacks the tactical sense. While the others were managing their Goodyear tires perfectly, he couldn't keep them in check. The guy got a shot at it last year and completely fell apart.

Are you thinking of the guy who drove four of Newey's projects?
