rowdyrider12 said:I am not a Vettel fan, but rather more of a Kimi fan, yet:
1. Kimi completely botched the start, and by the end, he wasn't even a threat to Verstappen..
2. The pit wall completely ruined the race for Sebastian Vettel.

If I recall correctly, Vettel was positioned behind Verstappen, so perhaps there might have been a genuine chance at victory...

It is time for Kimi to retire, unfortunately.😢

It’s possible, even though everyone was hyping up Kimi before the race started. Even Sebastian Vettel mentioned that Kimi is really the only driver out there who isn't just a pawn in some political game. Vettel himself is more aggressive; if Daniel Ricciardo hadn't been playing such dirty defense against him, he might have caught both of them. But there's a difference between catching someone and actually overtaking them. You know better than anyone how tricky this track is for passing. If Vettel had been sitting in second place, it would've been a different story—Max Verstappen probably wouldn't have been able to hold him off.

He didn't have anything better to work with, and then Rosberg took him down... and then that old fool just went and made a complete spectacle of himself. 🙂

That's just your opinion. Verstappen is better than Vettel🙂

He took him right through the first turn—Lewis handled the start much better this time around. But honestly, Ham needs to fix that immediately if he’s serious about chasing the title. Because man, Rosberg is absolutely lethal off the line.

Is tbf1dsv ever actually going to open a thread on who’s to blame? 🤣

I’ve got a soft spot for Nico Rosberg—really, I do—but man, I can't shake the feeling that he’s just completely washed today. 🤣 harder 🤣

He was justified, though, because Lewis Hamilton was right behind him. What else was he supposed to do—just let Hamilton dive down the inside to overtake? It’s not Hamilton's fault for being aggressive and not waiting for a better opening, especially since there weren't 66 laps left to go. The driver in the back always seems to get the blame.

🤦 Why do you think he messed up? He didn't do anything wrong; he just got caught in a bad spot.

There are going to be some very difficult conversations with Lewis Hamilton coming up. Things won't be the same after this. He acts like he's untouchable. Someone is eventually going to pay the price for that attitude.

The unnamed driver could have easily lifted off or even just spun out, considering there wasn't anyone trailing them within 300 meters...
But instead, he played it reckless, as if nothing mattered...
Nico Rosberg certainly had every right to defend his line...
I suppose we'll just have to wait and see what Toto tells the unnamed driver after the debrief.🙂

I'm pretty sure the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team wasn't thrilled about how that went down. He should've just let him through instead of wrecking the race for both of them! Lewis Hamilton decided to strike back immediately right at the start, just like how Nico Rosberg attacked him in that first turn.

But while Nico Rosberg managed to pull through, the unnamed driver certainly did not.🙂

Good grief. Just endless fanboy drama and excuses. It’s always someone else's fault, except for our guy, apparently...🤦

Hold on, why would they let Rosberg pass if he was already ahead? At that rate, Mercedes might as well just run a one-car team with Hamilton so nobody gets in his way.
