But in all seriousness, what I truly find myself longing to witness is perhaps just one more Alien, provided it were under the direction of either Ridley Scott or James Cameron.

Well, even David Fincher didn't do too bad with his sequel, though in my book, Ridley Scott is the true master when it comes to Alien.

As far as I'm concerned, no movie should ever have a sequel. It rarely manages to hit the same level as the original, and it almost never manages to beat it.

I honestly think these two movies need sequels immediately...

Man, after my first watch of Shawshank, I was dying for a sequel—could’ve been some hilarious setup, like the two of them opening a rental car agency or something. Throw Jim Carrey into the mix and you’ve got an absolute smash hit.

The Golden Compass, cut off right in the middle of the action.

As for sequels in general, I don't think movies should even bother with them, unless they're adapting a book trilogy—you know, like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, or Harry Potter...
The only decent sequel I can actually think of is T: Judgment Day

Man, I am dying to see American history x 2. I heard there’s actually a sequel out there, but if there is, it’s impossible to track down. I even caught a trailer online, but it felt super weird because it was just clips from the first movie slapped together—it's labeled as the second part, but I can't tell if it's legit or not. I really just want to see the actual sequel

I mean, honestly—that whole mess set back 10,000 years before Christ... it really ought to have sequels for 9,000 BC, 8,000 BC, even 7,000 BC...

Sequels should really be for movies that were actually planned as franchises from the jump—otherwise, you just end up with total shit

Honestly, I feel like there’s a whole genre out there for the "stupid and even stupider" crowd—they definitely deserve their own spin-off series.

Actually, that’s not even a sequel—it’s a prequel.☕ And honestly? Any attempt at a follow-up without Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels just wouldn't cut it. It would be totally pointless.

It’s not that I’m actually asking for it, but I’ve gotta say, I’m pretty surprised we haven't seen a sequel to Blade Runner yet—you know, something following Deckard and Rachel... and honestly, there's enough raw material there for a full-on prequel too. Think about the Off-world stuff... the replicants, the colonization of other planets, those bloody uprisings... maybe even seeing a bit of Pris in action...

The only movie that immediately comes to mind is Mr. Brooks. I actually read somewhere once that it was originally intended to be a trilogy, though who knows if we'll ever see anything happen with that now... honestly, it’s just great to see Costner pull off a comeback like that. In his role as Brooks, he proved once and for all that he still has plenty of gas in the tank, despite what a lot of people might have thought over the years.
