There is simply too much money flowing from every direction for it to be realistic that a single individual could dictate the winner.
Formula 1 becomes far more enjoyable when you focus on enjoying the races themselves, rather than constantly dissecting the financial maneuvers and sponsorship deals happening behind the scenes at each team.😉
As for the race itself...
People have been complaining about a dull season lacking innovation from McM, and suggesting there isn't a clear favorite between the top teams and Ferrari, but I suspect things will get quite interesting once the drivers actually have to adjust to racing without traction control.
Give them some turbo power. 😁
To be fair, I did enjoy the race because there was plenty of action. It is difficult for me to find a race boring if there are actual events unfolding. My definition of a dull race is one where the leader pulls away early and nothing happens for the rest of the duration, aside from two pit stops being the most exciting part of the entire afternoon. If we are lucky, maybe someone manages a pass during the pit sequence. Take Canada, for example; I hate that race. I honestly don't understand what kind of strange agenda is being served up there.
In my humble opinion, the greatest race ever held was back in 1998 at Spa... what a chaotic mess... but it wasn't just the start that made it great; it was that incredible moment when Schumi hit the curb and lost a wheel, yet somehow kept driving like a three-wheeled car
in front of Coulthard, who didn't even dare to overtake him, followed by that whole heated confrontation in the pits... 😍That was a true, classic Formula 1 feeling. 🙂
