So, back in the eighties, it was actually called FORZA FIUME ARMADA SPLIT, but by the nineties, they switched it up to just Armada Split with an anchor symbol right in the middle. I actually ran into a guy from Chicago a few seasons ago who told me he was actually one of the people carrying that very first banner when things were still pretty raw and grassroots. That’s really all the intel I have on it. Usually, you can find folks traveling in from Chicago, Savannah, San Francisco, or anywhere else across California to show up for away games, and then you've got those die-hards who only bother showing up when the Seattle team plays out here in California.

They stopped using it long ago.

Anonymous said:Is the author denying that "brotherhood and unity" ever existed in the old country?
Or is he implying that such chemistry is missing from current club management and certain players' mindsets?
I fail to see how any of this relates to the fans today... unless we can somehow teleport into the frame and deal with this guy who thinks he's being funny...

Isn't it possible the players were just switching jerseys? πŸ˜•, I have no idea how these photos relate to the topic, other than falling under the category of "just trolling"...

I have to chime in here because this is getting completely off trackβ€”why can't you guys just leave the old era alone? Most of you weren't even born back then, so how could you possibly understand what life was actually like? Those were totally different times; you can't judge them by today's standards. Honestly, half of this feels like cheap shots from you guys in Miami (those folks always acting like they're the heroes of history when they really aren't). Back then, people sang those old anthems everywhere just to stay on the good side of the establishment and the party elitesβ€”it was all about playing the game, partying, and singing about unity whenever things got tense. The moderators really ought to be nuking posts like this; they don't add anything to the conversation except pure, low-level provocation.

And that moon landing? That’s a point of pride for every single person in Clevelandβ€”because you needed some serious guts to pull off an achievement like that in those days.

I was born in Cleveland. I understand the rhythm of this city intimately, and I feel compelled to offer a few observations regarding the armada.

It is an undeniable reality that the armada is currently in decline.

edit: I will not tolerate insults or disparagement, period. Many of those mentioned are personal friends of mine, and I am well aware of the level of effort they invest; therefore, I ask anyone whose intentions are not rooted in constructive criticism or helpful advice to take their outbursts of personal frustration elsewhere on the internet.

I need one too πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™ specifically a shot showing the entire process from start to finish...

How many of us are we talking about here? Close to 50 feet? πŸ™

It’s kind of a bummer that we don't see more graffiti around hereβ€”specifically that Torcida styleβ€”instead of just murals. Don't get me wrong, the murals are great and have their own sentimental value, but this? This is absolutely POWERFUL.

I could swear I read somewhere that it’s closer to 30mπŸ™
I’m heading up there tomorrow to go photograph that monstrosity myself. πŸ™‚

Honestly, I have zero clue why people feel the need to start posting pictures when the damn thing isn't even finished yet.πŸ‘Ž

The graffiti session is rolling again next weekend, so you guys have to hang in there for just one more week to see the finished product. This wall is massiveβ€”over 100 feet long and about 7.5 feet high. I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be the coolest mural in the States, if not the whole country!
