Terry Fisher49 said:So, basically, your entire season of being a fan boils down to two, maybe four (Super Bowl) games a year?
Do you even care about anyone besides the Los Angeles Lakers or the Dallas Cowboys? It seems a bit ridiculous to me. I get that Cleveland isn't quite as high-stakes as the Lakers, but grouping Cleveland and Red Sox Nation in with small-town teams from the Midwest... that's just completely misplaced.
Why don't you guys just start your own little league where you can play each other every weekend and call it a day...!!
Since you clearly don't care much anyway....
Personally, I’d love it if every away game for Barcelona (or any other major US club) had a welcome like they get at Santa Monica. I think our league and the whole fan scene would be way more intense and interesting. But apparently, you just get butterflies in your stomach whenever the Lakers come to visit Miami!
Who knows, maybe you'll actually feel some excitement when the Lakers show up...🤷

Come on, you're misinterpreting me again... to put it simply, visually it's a great derby, but personally, nothing about it really hits home for me👍
I'm just over it...☕

Nice one, Terry Fisher49. And you, hiddennomad42, how many games have you actually attended this season? I'm not trying to be disrespectful here, but this is exactly how those die-hard Subway Series fans talk when they don't give a damn about any other teams... Are you even going to the games for the Los Angeles Lakers, or just to show up for people like us? 🤷

I'll say it again—no offense intended—but what you're saying is completely irrational...

Not feeling it☕👍

What's up with that massive banner at Continental?? I just noticed it—when did they even put that up??

That’s just the Dawg Pound doing their thing. You know, the same crowd that used to run away from you and claim they weren't part of the group.

That’s not even a tarp, man, it’s a chain link fence.😉

It would be highly beneficial if everyone took a moment to read the article at this link. For those who possess even a modicum of intellect, certain things might finally become clear.👍

It appears you are among those who failed to grasp the point of the article. Fine, let us move on... I wonder how many more of you are left...

This is an excellent piece. I suppose you should just make sure the Republican Party sweeps your next election, then maybe nobody will bother criticizing your choices. 😛

Honestly... I think this is a great read. My only gripe is that the author gets a bit bogged down in those weird fanboy myths that people in sports circles love to obsess over. Any sane person knows that folks from San Diego aren't some other group, just like we aren't nostalgic for the old days or people from Phoenix are different from New Yorkers. If being an American depends on whether the Republican Party is in power, then I’m definitely not one of them. People actually know what words mean... this is all just sports fanatic folklore.

Do you honestly think they’re going to get the point?
Just look at which specific sections they’re cherry-picking—it tells you everything you need to know. ☕

just because you’re coming at me about my deleted post doesn't mean I missed the point—I was just calling out how biased the author actually was... 👍it’s funny how people demand you "get the point" when the whole thing is built on fake data—and if you even try to point that out, suddenly you’re the one who doesn't get it 🙄

It’s obvious that anyone can speculate on the data, but if you ask me, today’s report offers the most accurate assessment of the situation and its origins. It only takes a single narrative to start circulating before people begin accepting it as absolute fact after a hundred repetitions...

I never harbored any illusions that this article would actually shift the needle, but it marks the first time someone has voiced a concrete perspective that actually holds some weight.

I was simply pointing out how incredibly subjective the author's perspective actually is... 👍 It’s honestly hilarious how people demand you "get the point" of a piece when the whole thing is built on nothing but flat-out lies. You aren't even allowed to call out the inaccuracies without someone claiming you just "don't understand the message," right? 🙄

Still standing my ground...

Raymond Gonzalez said:Sure, people can spin the data however they want, but if you ask me, this is the best breakdown we’ve got on how this all started. It’s crazy how fast a narrative starts forming—once a story gets repeated enough times, everyone just accepts it as gospel...

I never expected this article to actually change anything, but at least someone finally said something concrete that actually holds some water.

whatever 👍

😲

The text hints at an overwhelming bias toward the local side, offering several justifications that strike me as utterly foolish. For any true supporter of the club, attempting to excuse behavior by pointing to provocations from political rivals or outside agitators is beneath contempt. However, the truth often carries a sting; having finished this piece, I find myself feeling that there is actually more substance to those accusations now than there was before I read it.

On another note, I’ve always found it distasteful when club executives or fanbases align themselves with specific political parties just to signal their orientation—like seeing certain fans lately backing the GOP simply to make a statement about where they stand. Given how much turmoil there was during the collapse of the old regime, we all know exactly who stood where. They were nothing but enemies of our supporters, enemies of Americans, and everything we hold dear.

Just look at which parts they’re cherry-picking—it tells you everything you need to know. ☕

Seriously, what point is there even to get?🤷

It’s already been discussed on the sports forums—you aren't the only victims of this stupidity. It's always some division—this group vs. those guys, urban elites vs. rural folks, San Diego being treated like an outsider—they basically want to cut everyone off, while they really just need to unite with the rest of the working class. I don't give a damn. This article is okay, but a huge chunk of it feels like it's trying to justify things. I’ve asked before when this crap will finally stop, and the answer was always, "let whoever started it stop first." And guess what? Nobody knows. 😁 It's the biggest disgrace in American fandom. And I don't care if someone views this as fan provocation. This is embarrassing for everyone.

So, go ahead—explain the actual point of this article to me and I'll try my best to understand it. From where I'm sitting, this looks like nothing more than an excuse. You don't honestly think people take those labels seriously, do you? 🤷

It was already covered over on the sports forums; you guys aren't the only victims of this absolute stupidity. It’s always the same old script: "you guys are outsiders," "we're the true locals," "they're all communists," "San Diego is just a suburb." Honestly, people like that need to get their heads checked, but instead, they should probably just unite with the rest of the working class. I don't know, man. This article is alright, but a good chunk of it feels like it's trying too hard to justify things. I’ve asked before when this crap is going to end, and the only answer I ever get is, "it stops when the guy who started it stops." And guess what? Nobody has a clue. 😁 This is easily the biggest embarrassment in American fan culture. And I truly don't give a damn if someone views this as just fans taunting each other. It’s an embarrassment to everyone.

Look, you explain the actual purpose of this article to me, and maybe I'll try to wrap my head around it. From where I'm sitting, this just looks like some attempt at making excuses. You don't honestly think people actually believe you guys are outsiders, do you? 🤷

I used to think I was a real American, and my old man backed it up with family records going back generations. ☕

Then I started going to games, and suddenly some guys from the opposing stands are trying to convince me I'm something else entirely. 🙏

So I went home to tell my dad I’d messed up—that we were basically outcasts or radicals or whatever, since it's all the same garbage...😁

My old man just looked at me like I’d lost my mind, chewed me out, and kicked me to the curb...😲

And yeah, after that, my dad basically disowned me. He just looked up at the sky and said, "Forgive him, God, because he doesn't know what he's doing"...which is funny, because my fellow fans from the other side seem to know exactly what they're doing. So sure, I guess we're all outsiders, at least according to me... at least that's what the American fans told me. ☕

I guess I should be offended, considering one of my buddies actually called me a total coward earlier today.
But really...🙂
