Hey there!
So, I swung by the stadium today...
Just wanted to give a quick shout-out to the Armada folks who showed up—there weren't exactly hundreds of them, maybe just 20 or 25 people—but man, they had some spirit... honestly, props to them for the laughs...
They actually had the whole place cracking up when they started chanting for a 3-0 win, and then a bit later, shouting that the Cup belongs to us.
As for the game, the other team played terribly. They basically handed over three goals in the first half thanks to some lucky breaks from the wind, so the match was pretty much decided right then and there.

Can I ask something? This isn't just aimed at the Armada crowd—I see others have brought up similar points lately. What’s with the obsession with old-school script in the fan scene? Sure, it’s part of our American heritage, but people don't go around wearing traditional folk costumes every weekend either...

I mean, almost nobody can actually read it, right? You basically need Google just to decipher what some transparent banner says.🤷

Feel free to tear me apart if you think I'm not being patriotic enough, but honestly, without getting past the insults, I don't see much point to it all.🤷

Maybe you just don't know how to read? Honestly, that's on you—it’s clearly a deficit in your general education, your upbringing, or whatever passes for culture in your neck of the woods. The fact that this bothers you so much is just a testament to how thick-headed you're being. If you can't wrap your brain around it, I guess I could chalk it up to the fact that you spend way too much time relying on Google searches!

Remember when we had that transparent sign? It had Los Angeles FC written in gold lettering on it about three or four years ago. I don't have a photo handy, but I remember clearly how security banned us from bringing it in. They just didn't have a clue what it actually said. 😲

The fleet made a legendary move, honestly. They should carry that decision around like a trophy—it’s just too damn transparent.

If you ask me, I’d love to see our whole scene start getting into Glagolitic. Just imagine if we all started embracing it? Wouldn't that be something? 😁

Signs, banners, flags... everything written in Old English script. Man, that's wild.

Honestly, I have to give a shoutout to the fleet if there were more than 20 of them showing up in the States.
I mean, it’s fine by me. They showed up in decent numbers at the stadium on Saturday, so why complain? Now they roll up on a random weekday at 5 PM... look, it's not like we're talking about a massive fleet or some hardcore ultra groups that show up everywhere. Sometimes you just get the die-hards. It happens.

You pretty much answered your own question. That script is part of our history. Comparing it to folk costumes is just a weak, pointless argument. It’s like asking why fans cheer the way they do—why show up with drums when you could just bring a keyboard or a violin to the stadium? Makes zero sense. 😁

Using Glagolitic script here is such a massive win... even if most people couldn't decipher it if their lives depended on it. Honestly, it feels pretty ridiculous that some Americans don't even recognize our oldest writing style. I’m not saying you need to go out and memorize the whole damn alphabet, but picking up maybe five or ten letters shouldn't be this hard. Just a little off-topic tangent here, but I remember this one time some guy is showing off this tattoo he got in Glagolitic, and the dude standing next to him just goes, "What kind of weird symbols did you get? It looks like Cyrillic to me." And don't even get me started on how that same guy claims to be this huge, hardcore patriot—one of those ultra-nationalist types—while being completely clueless about his own heritage. It just honestly makes me sick when I run into people like that.

Last night was such a blast. We had an incredible crew playing—trumpets, drums, even some accordion... man, it was pure magic. The musicians were just on another level.👎
