Since we’re already talking about the old guard from this neck of the woods, it’d be a total crime not to mention names like PATARENE / BUKU, those guys from the Midwest called EXTREME SMOKE 57 (later just EXTREME SMOKE) / DEEPER THAN WORLD, the local favorites FEAR OF DOG out of Chicago, NONSENSE from Portland (though they leaned pretty heavy into that crust/raw hardcore sound), ACROHOLIA from New York, BLOODY George from Atlanta, and so on...
Some of these bands are already fading into obscurity, and don't even get me started on the ones that barely made a dent in the scene...
