The Pierced Arrows

2006 was a pretty grim year for anyone who lives and breathes rock, mostly because the best band on the planet, Dead Moon, broke up.

The mourning didn't last long, though, since Fred Cola and Toddy teamed up to start a new group.

Calling all rockers—The Pierced Arrows.



They don't sound any different or any worse than Dead Moon, which is exactly what you'd expect.

And just like Dead Moon, The Pierced Arrows live out of a van. They’re rolling into Washington, D.C. on May 14th to play at Kset (that club where Matt does those memorial shows).

So, I'm using this as an excuse to invite everyone to the show and maybe talk some rock, Dead Moon, The Pierced Arrows, or just life in general...

Matt finally said goodbye to Kset for good, so you can stop messing around with that stuff now... Banderas is putting on their concert 😉

By the way, the drummer is a total punk legend. He’s played with Resist, Defiance, and Masskontroll, and now he's with Severed Head of State. His old man was actually playing with Fred Cola back in the seventies.🙏

Dead Moon—it’s more than just music, it’s the whole vibe. It’ll bury all that fake emo crap that makes guys like Wyatt smash their phones and hyperventilate.

The drummer was knocking back a bottle of vodka right before they went on, and I'm pretty sure he polished off another one during the set...
I don't know what the deal is lately, but my guess is Dead Moon just burned out because their drummer couldn't stay sober...

Look, I know. Andrew was absolutely wasted last time we saw him at the club, just completely trashed... They almost fell apart back in the late nineties when Andrew was using every drug under the sun. Then he "cleaned up," so they kept playing... but yeah... clearly, he hasn't quite mastered it yet...

He drinks just to kill the nerves. It sounds ridiculous and hard to believe because you’d never notice it once he’s on stage, but it’s the truth. It's his own personal vicious cycle. I just hope he's doing okay, wherever he ended up 😢
