Kyle Jackson54 said:Parallel or Together is brilliant. It’s easily one of my top three favorites, right up there with Old Souls know and Bleeding Powers. Though, picking just three feels a bit unfair. 😒

parallel or together and bleeding powers are definitely among his best. Truly genius stuff. My only question is where you pulled old souls know fromβ€”which album is that on?

Why didn't you guys just answer him? It's not like he's going to go out and Google it. It’s just some low-tech strip featuring the mo ' Living ep, which if I remember correctly, was released as an MP3 bonus alongside Living with The Living.

Well, maybe you're just being difficult. You'd probably be greatβ€”I'm sureβ€”kind of like that other group, if you know what I mean. But he wouldn't listen anyway, because he's just gotta hate me, I guess.πŸ™„

I can't even get through ten Tedek songs without my heart breakingβ€”I just can't stand the warmists.πŸ™‚

Though, yeah, Bridges Squares is definitely one of the heavy hittersβ€”if not *the* heavy hitterβ€”and lately, I've been thinking the CIA might actually be one of the strongest too, since they're generally underrated and pretty great and all.😍

I'm the one who started this whole thread about Tedek, and now everyone's talking about him while my original topic just sits here rotting.😒 😬

It’s not happening, Wrongek, just let it go. I totally get where he's coming from.

Aside from that, he’s my buddy for refusing to put Thermalsmanija on blast here. Right? 😬

Anyway, here is the winning streak from the album Tyranny of distance : Parallel or Together:

Just so we don't spend the whole thread talking about Ted Leo & the Pharmacists, let's clutter things up by mentioning Ash and MSP.

Ash were those little teenagers from Northern Irelandβ€”the kind of youth who would pose for NME magazine while blasting a Stranglers Rattus Norvegicus record, claiming they only listened to music from 1977 and churning out seasonal half-hits for the radio. The second they mentioned loving '77, I found them slightly tolerable. Beyond that, I have no clue.

MSP was that wild youth scene, constantly high and shredding guitars, dominating the British music gossip columns for days, months, years. Holy Bible is probably okay.

I'm feeling slighted, so consider this spam. 😒

I still listen to everything he says, thoughβ€”even if his taste is pretty questionable. 😍

Is anyone planning to head out to Ashland in Vienna on December 1st, 2007?
The entry fee is just $15.
A friend and I are going.
Who else is in? 😁

I caught a set at Ashland a while back

It was pretty mediocre, honestly... except for when they played "Oh Yeah" and "Girl From Mars" back-to-backπŸ™‚

The show at Shinola was definitely betterπŸ™‚

They felt somewhat sterile, I suppose. Maybe if I’d been more drunk, or at a smaller dive bar, or just back in an era with fewer life-altering concerts... it might have hit differently πŸ™‚

They’d better step up their game with the music; we’re showing up ready to go hard. Honestly, I’m more intimidated by those stuffy, high-society crowds at the Lincoln Center! 😠

2.
3.

I despise purity.
I despise goodness.
I have no desire for virtue to exist in this world.
I want total corruption everywhere.

They call me a butcher, though I am an architect.
They call me primitive, though I am a pioneer.
They call me perverted, though I am purity.

Radiohead

Nirvana

Pearl Jam

I am more capable than Mensa, Miller, or Mailer.
I moved past Plath and Pinter.
I am everything you come to regret.
A truth that cleanses those who learned how to spell.

The first time you face your own nakedness, you weep.
Skin once soft is now blemished; breath is stale; the spirit is broken.

Soundgarden

Sleep offers no refuge from the thoughts fracturing my mind.
Shadows lack clarity, and false mirrors reflect far too many souls awake.
Stand tall like a nail, and you’ll inevitably be hammered down.

Kurt Cobain

I am more capable than Mensa, Miller, or Mailer.
I moved past Plath and Pinter.
I am everything you come to regret.
A truth that cleanses those who learned how to spell, learned how to spell.

It is far too easy to buckle; humanity destroys everything.
It is far too easy to buckle; humanity destroys everything.
It is far too easy to buckle; humanity destroys everything.
It is far too easy to buckle; humanity destroys everything.

What powerful lyrics.πŸ™

Yeah, I’m a total idiot. When I booked my session at the studio a couple of months ago, I had no clue it would end up clashing with the big game. πŸ‘Ž
The only silver lining is that the studio will probably be nothing but women! 😁
