Best software for watching TV on my PC?

I know this topic has probably popped up around here before, so bear with me.
So, I’ve got this Pinnacle TV tuner card, but honestly, I can't stand their software—it doesn't even play nice with Windows Media Center, which is super annoying. Does anyone know of any other decent programs for watching TV on a PC that actually work with a Pinnacle card?

I'd really appreciate it if only the folks who are 100% sure their software works with Pinnacle cards chimed in, just so I don't waste my time!

Man, I actually gave Media Portal a shot about two months ago, but it just wouldn't recognize my cable card at all, which was super frustrating.

Prog DVB should work with that Pinnacle TV card without any issues, I'm pretty sure about that. I just don't know which specific model you're running. Give it a shot and see what happens.

I picked up a tuner stick for $67 and hooked it up to my PC. Right now, I can see channels 1, 2, 3, and 4. Is there any way to pull in more than that?

Sure, if you swap out that tiny little internal antenna for a decent outdoor Yagi, though I guess it really just depends on where you're living.🙂
