After chatting with my dad today, I’ve finally decided I’m going to buy him a Peloton 😬
Since I’m living here in the States and they’re both back home, I really don't want to leave the shopping to them, because let’s be honest, if I don't take matters into my own hands, it'll probably never actually happen...

The only one I managed to track down online was on the TCO website (a Gold model) and the price tag is sitting at 1,$100...

Does that seem reasonable to you all?
Also, does anyone know of any other reliable websites where I could pick one up?
I am more than open to any and all recommendations!

Thanks so much πŸ™

Honestly, I wouldn't even look at those ones they sell on TV. I’m guessing your dad isn't exactly a featherweight, and honestly, those cheap ellipticals look super flimsy to me.
I have a NordicTrack and I am seriously loving itβ€”you can order it online through ESPN, but if I were you, I'd give them a quick call first to coordinate everything, especially if your billing address is different from where you want it delivered. Plus, it comes with a solid warranty, so if anything goes sideways, they send their own repair crew right over. Those ones from Walmart are such a headache; they just ship you a new one, which takes forever, and then if that one breaks too, you're stuck waiting on *another* replacement... it's a mess!

$200It costs more than that Gold model, but I think it's pretty obvious why it's worth the extra cash...

Let me know how the shopping trip goes! πŸ™‚

It looks pretty solid, especially since it handles up to 240 pounds, whereas that elliptical over at Walmart is rated for 275... though yours definitely seems like it would be more comfortable to actually use...
my dad is around 175 pounds and my mom is about 145, so weight capacity isn't really the issue here... I just want to get this for them because they're both determined to start exercising for their health, and honestly, with this heatwave hitting and winter right around the corner, staying indoors is the only sane option...

My dad is about 170 lbs and my mom is around 140 lbs, so weight limits aren't really an issue for us... I just really want to get this for them since they both want to start working out for their health. Plus, it's absolutely brutal outside with this heat, and winter is right around the corner...

Hunter mentioned it, but so did Miles.. 😬

If the one from USA says it holds 240 lbs, then it actually holds 240 lbs. A huge brand like USA isn't going to release something without testing the hell out of it first. But for that Gold model? I’d love to actually see someone weighing 275 lbs using it before I believe it.. πŸ˜‰

For me, this thing is the perfect addition to my routine. Doing 30 minutes a day on yours is going to make you feel like a whole new person (not just 10 minutes like those cheesy infomercials always claim... nobody actually believes that stuff...😁 )
