Is anyone actually buying this hype?

I feel like we see this every time a new fighter goes on a tear. One big knockout and suddenly they're being called a generational talent, but I'm still waiting to see them actually face the real elite. Does anyone else feel like the rankings are getting a bit too generous lately?
