Cervical polyp or something else?

Look, I’m not trying to be one of those "Am I pregnant?" types, but I also don't want the usual "pee on the keyboard and we'll tell you" jokes...
If things weren't such a mess, I wouldn't even be posting this, but clearly

So, getting straight to the point, here’s the deal:
- I'm a virgin
- I have a boyfriend
- He's incredibly high-drive (and honestly, so am I) 😈
- I used to turn him down because I wasn't ready, but now I really want to😬 , and I want to do it badly

The issue is that during some self-exploration😬 I noticed something feels off (based on what I assume the inside should look like, since I haven't had any other experience to compare it to)😳
Basically, everything should be open, right? Well, mine isn't quite...
Not exactly...
See, when I use a finger, I get a few centimeters past the opening and hit something—it's cylindrical, maybe about half an inch wide
Now, what on earth is that?! If I go just before it, I can go a little further, but then it feels like I'm pushing against something that kind of yields or moves inward
If I move my finger behind it (toward my back), I can go as deep as my finger allows.

WHAT IS THIS?!?! 😕
And as much as this might be funny to read, I feel so embarrassed.
I truly want to sleep with him more🙂 but as soon as things start heating up, I remember this, my mood totally tanks, and I end up pushing him away immediately.
It's been going on for a while now and I'm starting to feel bad for him; I don't even know how to bring it up without making him feel rejected or unwanted or whatever.

I have an appointment scheduled for June 11th with my doctor (I've been dealing with irregular cycles and pain even when I'm not on my period)
and I seriously cannot wait until that date to find out what's going on.
I did a little Googling to see if I could identify it, and the only thing that came up was a cervical polyp—it says they can protrude a few centimeters into the vaginal canal. Could that be it? (If anyone else has dealt with this, please let me know).

What should I do? Should I hold off on everything until my exam, or should we just try and see what happens (I read somewhere that during first-time sex, the uterus shifts up a bit, so maybe that helps with this too😬)?

And no, I didn't graduate middle school or high school🙂 specifically because of stuff like this😁

Cervical Polyps

The hymen is basically just a thin layer of mucosal tissue, about 1 to 3 mm thick, located right at the vaginal opening. It comes in all sorts of shapes... usually ring-shaped, but it can look like a crescent, have jagged edges, or even look like small fringes. Sometimes there’s a septum dividing it into two openings, or it might have several tiny holes or consist of a few larger folds.
