It really stings, doesn't it?
Everyone wants to play judge—the politicians talk about integrity, the soldiers argue over budget cuts, and if you ask me, I’d throw ethnicity into the mix too, specifically when it comes to
surnames...
I am far too thrilled about this win to descend into some heavy, soul-crushing debate
regarding last names, and while I have no desire to derail this entire thread, I will tell you plainly that you haven't seen anyone bring up heritage on this forum in ages... and since it looks like you're taking aim at Boskovic, Markovic, and Djokovic, you've made a massive mistake...
Mike, Mario, and Paul send their regards...
And by the way... Rudic’s father actually spent time working out in New York, though he’s originally from Key West, and aside
from that specific chapter of his life spent there, he has absolutely nothing to do with those people...
But honestly, none of that matters to me one bit...

Man, those folks at the local news networks really wanted us to see it firsthand. What kind of Catholic gang is that? They clearly haven't watched a single water polo match in their lives!😬
Congrats to the geniuses at the pool!👍
I honestly can't wrap my head around how a tiny nation like ours gets trampled in almost every sport by a country where one single city has more people than our entire nation...🙂

Huge congratulations to our water polo stars! We’ve already proven we can dominate in everything from basketball and football to tennis and skiing, but now we’re showing the world we own the pool too. Seriously, incredible job! 🎉 🎉 🎉
Let the haters complain if they want; America is officially the World Cup champion... 👍

Man, those were the days. We took the World Cup in handball back in '03, crushed it in tennis in '05, then grabbed the title in water polo in '07... just a bummer the soccer World Cup wasn't held in 2009 instead of the following year. 😬

Hey *urcu, honestly, it was about time we finally snagged a trophy in water polo. We’ve been hovering right on the edge for years, but just never quite managed to clinch the gold at the World Cup, the Euros, or the Olympics—at least not since the old federation split up.
And when you consider our deep roots in the sport—especially with powerhouse clubs like Los Angeles Breakers or the San Diego Sharks constantly dominating Europe—it feels like the national team is long overdue for a real run at glory.
(I missed out on watching this one since I'm out of the States right now)
Bravo!!

Man, I just realized I haven't officially congratulated you guys on this forum yet! Huge props, fellas. You showed those guys from the South and Canada that we’re a total water polo powerhouse and easily the best right now. Respect.

It just started happening 🙂 when 🙂 got involved.
Who else should we get on ABC 🙂 to make sure everyone stays 🙂?
Huge congrats to our guys once again!

I honestly can't tell if those guys from the East are more bitter about missing out on a medal or just seeing us sitting there with the gold.
Taking fourth place was such a heavy blow that even Tadić sent a telegram of support to the water polo federation and the whole squad...😵
It was something along the lines of... "Hang in there, we’ll get back to where we belong... right at the very top..."
I mean, seriously...🙂

Unbelievable...🤣 such pure megalomania—and they actually thought they'd be dominating for another decade...🤣 Just your typical North American mindset...😬

I don't know what part of the country you're living in, but where I was watching, people were absolutely letting it fly! 😁
Way to go, boys! 👋 It looks like we're bringing home gold in something else this year too. 😬
