Alright, here’s my first attempt at some PC Modding

It's still a work in progress, obviously...

Just so you know...
Inside there's an Epox mini ATX board
Got a P550 overclocked to 733
2x256 RAM
A 20GB hard drive
An Nvidia GeForce 440 (pretty sure that's the one)
Two network cards
DVD and floppy drives

The case itself is about 30x30cm...

That's definitely worth praising
It looks solid—functional, too—and doesn't take up much space at all
Nice work

In my humble opinion, WMD is hands down the greatest PC Modding project ever made...

Part 1:
http://www.bit-tech.net/modding/2005...g-gnome/1.html

Part 2
http://www.bit-tech.net/modding/2006...ase_mod/1.html

I mean, if you don't really feel like reading all about how the WMD actually came together, you can just totally skip "Part 1"

Well, yeah, that was kind of the whole point here...
but I totally messed up by not going with the actual 10.6x10.6 inch size of the motherboard right from the jump
so I'm gonna redo the whole thing using some thicker plexiglass next time to make it actually look decent...

Joseph Carter9 said:You guys are just a bunch of haters who love criticizing everyone else because you don't actually have anything of your own to show for it.

And honestly, the case isn't even that special. Back when I was actually spending money on this stuff, we used to try being original—cutting metal, adding Plexiglas, doing some custom engraving. This? This is just buying a cheap off-the-shelf case, slapping on two neon strips and two fans, and calling it a day.
In case you didn't know, there's an "edit" button right there. Just update your original post instead of starting a whole new thread.

Just the case. That's it. 😬

Ouch... what about the gut?😍

Watch what you wish for, man. You might actually get what you're asking for if I really show up...😁

It’s good to see there are still some of us who actually give a damn about how his Machine looks....

I couldn't just sit here by the sidelines without showing off my own progress, right? This is my second attempt at PC Modding, and it’s definitely a work in progress. I still need to install the plexiglass—actually, I decided to go with 3mm tempered glass instead; trust me, the pros outweigh the cons. Now I'm just hunting for some blue LEDs to wire into the DVD and CD-ROM connectors, plus a blue neon tube... but I can't find anything anywhere. Is it just me, or is it impossible to find decent parts in a small town like this when you're the only one interested in this stuff?

Here are a few shots... let's see what you guys think.

That case you've got, Mark Gonzalez2... honestly, nice work. It’s not over-the-top—just clean and tasteful.
My only gripe is seeing an amateurish Athlon tucked away inside there...😁

The Case is alright, Mark Gonzalez2... seriously, props to you... nothing over the top, but it looks clean enough...
I just can't get past the fact that there's some amateur Athlon sitting inside it...😁

Since we're already obsessing over the Case, I guess the next big debate is going to be about what's Inside Case... right? hehehe...

Joseph Carter9 said:Yeah, sure, you're all talk. It’s easy to just drop a link to some custom case someone else spent hours on. I'm actually curious—what does *yours* look like? You probably have it hidden under your desk, don't you?

My case doesn't even need any PC Modding.

The black version is right here - http://www.coolermaster-europe.com/i...cker%20831

And yeah, posting a link is easy. But at least this case actually stands out! It’s unique. And even if there isn't a massive reason to do it, you've gotta give credit where it's due—if someone puts in the work to build something great, you should acknowledge that effort, right?
On the flip side, cutting a square hole in a sheet of metal, slapping in some acrylic, and screwing on two neon lights and a colored fan isn't exactly something you should be bragging about to the world.
