Since I'm still young, what would you all suggest?
Thanks in advance.๐Ÿ™‚

Maybe try something like Karate or Taekwondo?

That was actually the first one that popped into my head too, especially considering how old and tall it is.

do you have to wear those tight singlets for wrestling or whatever
i guess that's a bit weird, but maybe it's not a bad idea
and what's the actual upside of wrestling over something like taekwondo

The biggest plus, I guess, is just how useful it is when you're actually out there in the field.

Both disciplines are equally applicable in a fight.

It really comes down to personal preference and what you're looking for. Honestly, just take this test and see where you land...

...or do they? ๐Ÿ˜ณ

driftingseal54; whatโ€™s your preferenceโ€”striking with hands and feet, like karate, or grappling with throws and chokes, like judo or wrestling?

I guess I'm interested in wrestling
but is there a wrestling club in Indianapolis

So, you're based in Indianapolis?
Hmm... well, first things first, you really need to figure out what actually appeals to youโ€”are you more into striking, or do you prefer grappling, throws, and all that stuff?
I'm not entirely sure about the specific wrestling scene in Indianapolis๐Ÿ˜• But look, you've got Jewish Clubs in the area, which is somewhat similar, except they wear kimonos. Itโ€™s mostly throws, chokes, and such. You also have Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu available in Indianapolis. That's my top recommendation, though I honestly don't know if they have anyone in your age group. It's a lot like judo, just with way more ground work.
As far as striking goes, from what I gather, there's Taekwondo, Karate, and Kickboxing.
If I had to pick one for you, I'd go with Kickboxing.

Not sure if there's much wrestling in Indianapolis, ๐Ÿ˜• but there are plenty of Jewish Clubs, which is basically the same thing except they wear kimonos. It's mostly throws and chokes. As for striking, I think they have Taekwondo, Karate, and Kickboxing.
If I had to pick, maybe go with Kickboxing.

which one would be best if I just want to bulk up a bit
since I'm pretty skinny, maybe even scrawny

Honestly, training in America is going to make you stronger than ever.
And what kind of local folk singer are you supposed to be if you're this skinny? ๐Ÿ˜

If wrestling isn't an option, we can always go with judo.
I honestly think you'll find more people in your age group there than at those Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gyms.

Couldn't find any wrestling gyms in Indianapolis, so I might just sign up for judo.
A buddy of mine trains there, so I'll probably head over with him.
Is judo actually good for getting in shape?๐Ÿ˜ฌ

A friend of mine is training over there, so I'm planning to head out with him.
Is judo actually worth it if you're looking to change your physique and get in shape?๐Ÿ˜ฌ

So, whatโ€™s the actual plan here? Are you heading out to pick up girls or are you actually going to get some training in? Honestly, you might want to consider hitting up one of Mary Valentineโ€™s sessions first, and then maybe looking into some cosmetic work later on. It doesn't really matter how much you work out if your face is a total mess and looks nothing like it should. You might even need to look into a hair transplant at this point.

Oh, come on, Iโ€™m just pulling your leg!

I guess Iโ€™m doing this bit by bitโ€”partly for the workouts, partly because of this girl, I suppose.
Todayโ€™s my first time, anyway.

Honestly, just go hit the boxing gymโ€”whether it's Muay Thai or kickboxingโ€”and stop wasting your breath on this other stuff... total respect to judo and wrestling, though...

What makes one better than the other?
I mean, why do you think I'd be wasting my time on them?
Google, it's just a question. Not trying to start a fight.
