Give me a break, this is a joke... we basically beat Spain with half our strength, especially considering we were playing without our star playmaker and making a ton of subs.... Look, our guy played out of his mind, bagged a couple of goals in the second half before heading back to the bench, and everyone else just did their job and closed it out!

... I really hope they didn't screw over Mirza...

Honestly, at least this game was just a total blowout. They didn't even break a sweat, which is a relief. I was genuinely worried we’d end up in a real scrap here, get some guys sidelined with injuries, and then have to face the French and then the Germans right after.

Now, maybe the higher powers could step in and help us out a bit, but let's be real—it wouldn't be fair if we had to take on the French first with a perfect 7/7 record, and then immediately follow that up against the Germans.

What kind of national team are we even running? I don’t know if you guys have noticed, but our players only seem to find their rhythm when it actually matters. Take the goalkeepers, for example—they finally step up and lock things down right when we need them most. Then there’s Dzomba, who always seems to find his groove exactly when the pressure is on. Honestly, the only one lagging behind is Valcic, and he’s literally the only one struggling to keep pace.

Leo used the last two games to get the squad in sync before the quarterfinals, and once again, we end up facing those soft Spaniards. I noticed they were babysitting Urios a bit too, and now I’m reading reports that he’s dealing with an injury.

The boys showed everyone who’s in charge. They stayed the course at -5 and pulled off the comeback. Who needs playing it safe when you can play for keeps? 🙏 🙏

Forget about those Frenchmen. It was an easy win...

I still remember this one old game where we were down by five at the half against the Spaniards, but we ended up ripping them apart in double overtime... if I recall correctly. That was during the World Cup semifinals held in Portugal. Then there was that other match where it looked like a draw right until the buzzer, and Balić almost launched a Hail Mary from center court in the final seconds... pretty sure that was our first group stage game in Canada. Honestly, I think we totally schooled those Spaniards!

Man, we actually pulled it off! Hopefully this one doesn't come back to haunt us later... It honestly wasn't a bad way to play it in the end. The absolute worst-case scenario would have been getting blown out by a huge margin while our star players were running themselves ragged on the court... which is exactly what we needed to stay competitive. After those five-point leads the Spaniards held, they couldn't even find a single fast break to capitalize on, and man, that transition game is usually their bread and butter. Once you get caught in their grind, things go south fast. I gotta give it to the Spaniards though, their tactical math was pretty obvious from a mile away...

Yeah, for the Canadians, it’s mainly 🙂 There are still a few other combinations out there, but I’m honestly worried it’ll just end up being the Frenchmen and then the Germans. As long as they have enough gas in the tank to make it to the finals—just for that one game, really.
