Hey, I really need some advice and help here... I’ve been managing my primary diagnosis (ovarian cancer) through multiple surgeries, three rounds of chemo, and 50 Gy of pelvic radiation. Now, after four years in remission, a recent abdominal CT shows this solid infiltrate—it might just be scar tissue, but it could also be a recurrence. My doctors are recommending I get an urgent PET scan immediately, but apparently, that’s only available at some major hubs abroad—think places like London, Vienna, or Budapest. So, please, if anyone has gone through something similar or has experience getting that specific scan done overseas, let me know. I would APPRECIATE any info you can share.

It was done using the d-minor protocol. You could probably get it done in Graz—though they haven't been taking our patients since last October because they're totally overbooked—or maybe in Vienna. I guess your oncologist would need to set everything up and book the appointment for you. You’d have to pay for the scan upfront, but I heard that Medicare eventually reimburses the cost. It costs roughly $1,500. They give you all the results on a CD, I think. I'm not entirely sure about the rest of the details, honestly. I'm actually getting ready to go through the same thing myself toward the end of the year.

I don't have anything particularly useful or profound to add—other than sending you all my best wishes and a whole lot of luck! 😘 👍
