Merle Haggard: Country music album

I suppose I may need to see if I should set up and gram Parsons soon 😬

I happen to have that Hennig "Fallen Angel" documentary, so please let me know if you might be interested...

Got it, thanks! 😉
I actually have two of the tribute DVDs.

Check out this shot from the All Stars Tribute - Sessions AT West 54th http://www.hallym.org/thinkrun/GramP. It’s such a great memory from that Gram Parsons Tribute. This was part of the PBS Television session 19. Definitely worth a look.

🙂 I suppose I’d like that too.🙂

And now everyone is collectively agreeing that the best heavy metal band in the Southeast is in Kset. 🙂
I suppose I should probably offer some sort of greeting, though I am not entirely sure if it is necessary.

Steven Hernandez9 said:It’s definitely not exactly what you’d call a high-class Rotary Club.😁 We’re actually making some progress here... Seriously. Just a few months back, Roger Jones5 couldn't have told you who Gram Parsons was if his life depended on it—and Steven Hernandez9's drummer was busy listening to Radiohead like he was some indie hipster. Fast forward to the other day: we're cruising in a van down toward San Diego for a concert, Gram Parsons is playing, and suddenly the drummer starts belting out the chorus to "Streets of Baltimore." Then, right on cue, Roger Jones5 pipes up and asks if that's the same album with *In My Hour of Darkness*. Unbelievable.😎

Was that before or after that guy went and claimed that stop sign as his own? 🤔 😬

Nah, Gram just isn't my cup of tea—if you know what I mean. Honestly, I still dig his stuff more than that Creekdippers version, even if they threatened to kick me out of the group for saying it.

Steven Hernandez9 said:🙂I want in on that too🙂

We could always trade... 😉
If you're interested, shoot me a DM and we can work out a deal.👍

Who wouldn't appreciate the classics? 😍

Noah Myers67, perhaps we should touch base via private message once things settle down...

Anyway, check out The Carpenters - I Just Fall in Love Again

Thanks, but I’m more of a beer guy.😁

Steven Hernandez9 said:look, we aren't exactly some elite Rotary Club yet😁 but hey, we're getting there... seriously, just a few months ago Frank Harrigan couldn't tell you who Gram Parsons was, and my drummer used to be strictly a Radiohead guy. The other day we’re cruising in a van down to Austin for a show, GP is playing, the drummer starts belting out the chorus to Streets of Baltimore, and Frank actually asks if that's the album with In My Hour of Darkness😎

I mean, it's a community at the beginning. I bet you guys are all in your late twenties, which is pretty much when men finally mature enough to appreciate real country music.😉 Gram Parsons is freaking legendary!

Noah Myers67 said:Thanks, but I'm more of a beer guy...😁

Fine then, let's go with One Bourbon, One Scotch and One Beer, just like John Lee Hooker said...🙂

wiredlynx3 said:Alright then, let's go with One Bourbon, One Scotch and One Beer, just like John Lee Hooker would say.🙂

We can definitely make that happen...
😉

Noah Myers67 said:We can definitely reach an agreement on that...😉

Everything's getting totally flipped upside down around here. We're talking about blues on the country thread, and then switching to country over on the blues board. Unbelievable! 🤣

It’s all great music 😬

Anyway, I could swing by Spunk next Friday and drop off those DVDs for you. Since I need to stop by ar peka to pick up the Grateful Dead stuff anyway, I figured I’d just handle everything in one trip...
Two birds, one stone. 😬
Let me know if that works for you. 🙂

I would certainly appreciate 😁—but it isn't my turn just yet

I’ve always had such a soft spot for Streets of Baltimore... 🙂

brightridge19 said:I'd love to jump in on 😁 but it's not my turn yet

Well, you can always just show up whenever you want.😁

True, but then wiredlynx3 will end up with the DVD, and I'll just settle for a drink—as per usual 🙂 :žudizapromjenom:

oktopod said:I love the Streets of Laredo. 🙂

Just like our friend threshold of the nose would say... the Streets of Laredo is a great song. 👍

brightridge19 said:Yeah, but then wiredlynx3 is going to get his hands on some DVDs, and I'll just be sitting here drinking like I always do 🙂 :žudizapromjenom:

Don't worry, you'll be getting those DVDs from wiredlynx3 soon enough 😉
Hey, go ahead and drink up. There's nothing wrong with that... I do the exact same thing every weekend 😳
