Underrated bands?

Chambers of Morbid (dark synth), Drinking Skull (our local metal band), and Orphaned Land (that Israeli metal group with all those folk elements)

Alright, let's get real here, I'm not joking!
Here are some bands that aren't exactly household names, but they're solid in my book:

They Might Be Giants—I actually just started a thread on them recently, and it's crazy how little anyone seems to know about them.

Concrete Blonde—really good American band, just criminally underrated.🙂

Cherokee Mud Puppies—some hillbilly types who played at the local dive bars; super interesting stuff. Anyone else ever heard of them?🙂

The Ramones—well, thinking back to that late 80s British pub-punk vibe, even Warner Music Group put out "more songs about Love and hate." They played New York City twice, but nowadays, it's like everyone just forgot they existed.🙂

And one for you: I bet none of you have ever heard of this one: Extratested heavvygold curtons. The guy behind it was basically a one-man band performing in his bedroom, but he actually had recorded material out there before it vanished into thin air forever.👋

These are some seriously killer bands and projects, though I’m pretty sure I’m the only one who actually appreciates them... well, except for my buddy, but I’m the one who introduced him to Momus in the first place.
The thing is, they don't really fit that whole rock/metal/punk definition we were talking about in the first post.
I won't even get started on those Chilean Nueva cancion bands, or Auktyon either... 😁

I still have my old cassette with Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor on the cover. I loved them. I caught their second show, but for the first one, I was busy with the US Army back when the concert scene was at its peak in '89-'90. Man, what a time...

But hey, that's life—great songs and glowing reviews don't always guarantee big sales. If anyone here is a fan of Joy Division, Echo & the Bunnymen, or anything in that vein, you should definitely check out this link...
