It went down last night

I wouldn't know for sure—I'm no doctor—but you might try putting some mashed potato compresses on the swelling and wrapping it up with a cloth or something. That worked wonders for me!

Thanks for the tip. Though—is an ice compress off the table, or what?

For swollen joints—try using egg white meringue; just spread it over the area and wrap it up
I know, I know, sounds a little ridiculous 😁 but it actually works

tuka, did it ever cross your mind that this swelling might actually be a fracture? 🙄
And seriously, instead of relying on some old-school home remedies, wouldn't it be better to just see a doctor?
Oh, wait... I forgot—they're all evil and corrupt, right? Better not to bother them. At least they still have two arms and two legs, so they're mostly intact for now 😈

So, you took a tumble last night and now you're dealing with swelling today?? 😲 😲 😲
Don't you dare go messing around with that 🤣

Oh, right... my bad. Everyone in medicine is evil and corrupt—better stay far away from them. Besides, you’ve still got two arms and two legs, so at least you're mostly intact 😈
Nothing's broken—I've already checked everything myself 😬 !!

I know it sounds ridiculous, but I just wiped out on my rollerblades—nothing major, really. I've got a bloody 1.5 cm scrape on my arm, a smaller one on my knee, and honestly, I've never stayed this swollen for this long. Even years ago when I faceplanted 😲 and ended up looking like a balloon, the swelling went down within 24 hours. That’s why this is throwing me off.
That's exactly why I was asking if this is normal.

Even back when I took a total dive onto my face years ago 😲 and ended up looking like a literal balloon, the swelling went down within 24 hours, so this is really throwing me for a loop.

Yeah, it's totally normal. I’ve dealt with lumps, massive swelling, and huge bruises for an entire week after falls where nothing was even broken.
Well, presumably it's normal, just maybe not quite in the same way I get lumps and swelling. 🙂

ironseal13 said:thanks for the tip! uh, would an ice pack even be an option here?
An ice pack could definitely work, too. Hope you're feeling better soon!

That’s specifically for burns 🙂

Did you actually land hard on your knee, or did you just twist it? If you twisted it, I guess it’s not that weird if it isn't swelling up yet. You could have torn a ligament or something...
Seriously though, watch out for that knee. It’s probably one of the most complicated joints in the body, especially since it carries so much weight. Any injury there tends to just get worse over time, I think...

I heard the same thing about using it for swelling. Tried it once myself. 😁
