The only thing that really trips me up here is that specific sign. I mean, why don't you just ask Orange Guy if a roundabout actually takes precedence when it's just this one sign standing there without the warning triangle?

I honestly can't remember the last time I saw anything even remotely close to this in my entire life. 😬

And hey, it won't hurt my credibility one bit, because if anyone's right about this little anecdote, it’s definitely me. 😠 🙂 🙂 🙂

From what I can tell, everyone’s pretty much on the same page anyway, so I don't really get why everyone's getting so worked up over nothing... But whatever, I'll stick around just in case things actually get interesting and someone starts a real fight...

Man, I miss Spider... he hasn't posted in forever... 😢

@ Samuel Murphy6- what are you talking about? That sign? 😛

@ stormyviper11- nah, Samuel Murphy6 is asking again if the people in the roundabout have the right of way when there's a roundabout sign posted.

Alright, I'm done 😁

And you don't even have a driver's license, for crying out loud. 😬

hollowseal33 said:Yeah, if there's a roundabout sign involved, specifically one that marks the intersection as a roundabout, 👋

which falls under the category of mandatory commands basically telling you to yield to the traffic already circling the loop, 🙂

Man, I totally missed that part. That sign just dictates the flow of traffic, but it doesn't actually change who has the right of way in the grand scheme of things...

That sign means there's a roundabout ahead. Because it's a roundabout, you have to yield to the drivers already in the circle since they have the right-of-way 😢 🤔 😢 though I honestly can't remember the last time I saw a roundabout that didn't also have specific priority signs and this one 😬

Nah, look, when you see something like a white left arrow on a blue background, that’s just telling you where you’re allowed to go, not who gets to move first. Mandatory directions are about direction, period. Right of way is handled by stop signs, yield signs, or those annoying ones telling you you're on a main road...

Personally, I get the feeling that sign is just letting you know you're approaching a roundabout without actually specifying who goes first.
Why else would they be putting up so many warning triangles lately? ☕ Unless they're trying to write some kind of modern Hemingway 🙂 🙂

Talking about traffic laws in New South Wales? 😕 😬
Look, even over there, they use the inverted triangle sign at a roundabout... so there’s really no room for debate in that scenario.

Then why do we have

and
, because if that were true, it would be the exact same thing when approaching a roundabout.

Actually, I give up. I don't know. Orange will clear this up for us tomorrow, though it honestly doesn't matter since every single roundabout I've ever driven through—all six of them—has clear right-of-way signage.

Hold on a second, are you seriously basing your entire argument on a book that was translated from a language used in a country where they actually drive on the left side of the road? 🤣

Bill Gates said:so why do we even bother with

and
, since that would basically be the same thing when you're merging onto the freeway.

I mean, it's the same deal—you have to turn right—but the other sign just gives you a little extra heads-up...

The kind of logic where an ad hominem attack is considered the ultimate winning move! 🙏 👋
