I can't quite recall which specific article I dropped this in, but I know I wrote this paragraph somewhere: "In places where they call it a flathead, you’ll find German cars. Where they say screwdriver, it's probably an Italian import. But where they use the term 'Phillips head,' there's definitely a linguistics professor living in the house." 😎

Yeah. But a screwdriver isn't some "beloved localism."
It’s just a tool, plain and simple. You don't get sentimental over hardware.

I remember one time I totally misread the room and ended up at Bauhaus with a group of guys. They spent hours wandering the aisles, geeking out over power tools, while I just stood there with my hands behind my back, pacing around and wondering what on earth any of this stuff could possibly do for me in my life...

...so I eventually just grabbed a tiny little set of precision screwdrivers, specifically for popping those new model toy cars off their stands... 😍 And wouldn't you know it, they actually came in handy today. 😍 Some Fiats just rolled in... 😍 😍

I agree.
I've never understood this obsession where being a man supposedly means you have to love tools and fixing random crap.
What a joke.

Anyone know where I can grab some? Specifically the ones you just slip onto your sneakers—not the kind where you have to take your shoes off first. Trying to get through high school here without wasting half my life just tying laces every single time. 😍

I'll sell you mine 😬

Still can't find that one guy who basically gave King Henry VIII a massive beating right across his back.

Just gorgeous

I was at a currency exchange last night—one of those places where they use a kitchen mixer to count out cash on someone's shoulder 👋 and man, the guy doing the tattoos there was a total sweetheart...

The best exchange spots I've found are
1. Chase Bank
2. Wells Fargo
3. Bank of America

My top 5 most ridiculous Last.fm groups so far:

5. Compulsive Avatar Changers - Home of the Themed Avatar Contest

4. We Listen To The Bands With '!' In Their Title

3. This is a group with random and sometimes questionable musical taste for people who are weird or bored

2. People who listen to music while they're sleeping, especially at times when they shouldn't be asleep but are too tired to stay awake

and the winner goes to...
1. This group will be the biggest and best group EVER, and will end up RULING THE WORLD! Join NOW and I'll make you president of whatever country you want!

🙏 🙏 🙏

if you stumble upon any other bizarre names—do let me know... 😬
