The definitive ranking of Karmann's rhymes:

5.

I'm erasing your name from my life forever,
scrubbing you right out of my contacts...
I offered up my heart in an ad,
just looking for a roommate
someone who needs a corner that's warm and dry,
someone kind, someone solid as a loaf of bread.

4.
You might be able to have everything else under the sun, just not me. Honestly, I've had more than enough of your constant doubts.
So just pack up all those lies of yours and get lost,
leaving me with nothing but the solitude I deserve.

😢

3.
Count them, every single star that catches in your eyes.
Count them, every single touch of mine,
until you run out of numbers...
all the way to infinity.

🙂

2.
You are the sun in my sky, you are everything I could ever need.
Your warm lips are quite literally a necessity for me!

1.
Where’s the best party in town? It's down at the beach.
And where am I going to find a beautiful young girl?
Just look for her down at the beach.

Out of this league (maybe a translation?):
0.
Oh, the decibels of love, oh, it's pure music. Oh, the decibels of love, oh, it's a waste of breath to say.
Oh, the decibels of love, oh, it's pure music.
Oh, the decibels of love, oh, it's a waste of breath to say.
Decibels of love, yeah, that's music.

Looking at those reactions for 3rd, 4th, and 1st place, I’ve gotta say, Adam Moore is going to realize exactly what hits the fan once Mara publishes her doctoral thesis on how much he messed up—and gets recognized by the National Academy of Sciences for it. 😬

Oh, man—so much noise, yet so little actually being said.
Oh man, those decibels of love—now that’s what I call music.
Oh man, the sheer volume of love... honestly, it's just one of those things people never bother to say out loud.
Decibels of love—now that’s what I call music.

🤔

All I can think about is decibels—and Mekalski. 😈 That association works—I guess. Or maybe not. I mean, where are you actually at, man? I just don't get what that other guy's deal is then.
My number one musical re-discovery today—David Bowie and "Ashes to Ashes." That whole era from the late seventies into the early eighties... man. I hadn't touched this stuff in fifteen years, then suddenly I was back in it yesterday and again today. 😬 Looking for some tracks to help with that glute workout—anything that actually hits?

The top three soccer concepts and rules a woman will simply never grasp:

1. Offside.
2. The goalie confirmed the ball. It’s official! (He actually remembered the VAR rule...)
3. Three corner kicks equals a penalty.

Sweden totally caught me off guard. 🙂

2. The goalie confirmed the ball. It’s official!!! (Reminded me of that VAR nonsense...)

What even is that? Is that when you knock on wood three times? 🤔

That sounds incredibly familiar, yet I still can't place it.😁

Me too. Though I’m still lost on what "confirmed" actually means here. Other than that, women are never going to understand the offside rule...

Decibels of love, that is music

I stripped the original because I couldn't track down the Carmen version. And honestly, it isn't even a great song—just some Eurodance garbage with ridiculous vocals from the Czech Republic. It could be done way better than this.

I just stumbled upon a version by Karma. Ugh... it’s honestly pretty amateur hour. It’s no surprise they managed to pull off some success during that tour in the Czech Republic.
It's got this repetitive, clunky rhythm and some guy trying way too hard with those cheesy "everybody dance now" tropes, which actually stuck in my head more than I'd like to admit. That synth sound is absolutely killer, though. It just goes to show that solid production accounts for over half of an album's success.
When is Karma finally playing a show in Chicago?

My "never heard them before" list of bands that absolutely blew my mind today:

1. The Beatles - Marijuana Americana
2. The Pattern - Sunned Things Speak
3. Sahara Hotnights - Alright Alright
4. Har Mar Superstar - Power Lunch
5. Low Flying Owls - Looks of a Killer

It's a total tragedy—I downloaded this stuff over a year ago and I'm only just getting around to listening to it now.😕
